I mounted an encrypted hard drive using Veracrypt, copied hundreds of gigabytes of stuff then unmounted it. The hard drive is still spinning after being unmounted. I can hear it spinning and feel it vibrating when I touch it. Are there any steps I need to take to remove it safely?

unmounting =/= powering down, if you still hear it clicking then something is wrong, but iirc a hard drive will spin irrelevant of wether or not it's mounted as long as it has power
