If you bought Switch in between 2017 and 2018, it means your Switch is unpatched and it is very easy to boot into CFW with jig.
Otherwise, you have to find someone willing to install the mod chip in Switch and you can post to request, so someone will PM you.
I would just prefer not to mod my switch, I don’t want to run into any issues with it getting banned or anything by Nintendo. I’ll just deal with the blurriness using yuzu on the steam deck. Since the other emulator has control issues that don’t work when trying to swap Yokai.

It is apparently that game isn’t completely translated, but all storylines are translated.
That’s better than nothing and I use Google Lens to translate some parts that haven’t translated yet.

Mod update version 1.0.9 has been released. This release once again brings about various quality of life improvements for the mod like more image translations, English cutscenes etc. Enjoy.
Hi!!! Im having trouble making the cheats work. I actívate the cheat i want, but anything happens.
You'll only get banned if you use online in your emunand, so there wouldn't be a problem modding your switch. there are also many codes/applications that prevent you from going online in the cfw anyways, so getting banned from Nintendo is out of the question(if you have been prepared that is)
Some people reported that they got banned for use CFW in sysnand, especially @ELY_M is one of them but it is unusual since Atmosphere has protection that prevent the error code from register in Switch's NAND and sometime, it didn't work well if tesla tool crash the game or Switch, and Nintendo was able to flag the Switch.
As for me, I use CFW offline all time for almost 5 years and haven't get ban at all.
I've got several problems playing this mod (I never played it without, so I don't know if it's mod related).
1. While finding Yokais the touchscreen doesn't record inputs. I could try some cominations with the analog sticks and it works after 2-4 trys, but it's inconvenient.
2. In some menus the game doesn't accept inputs anymore (Analog Stick works, buttons doesn't). I could figure out how to get buttons working beside random button press and waiting until they work again.
Also several missing / empty translations, but that's okay.

I’m really excited that someone’s putting in the dedicated work for this mind but I have a quick question when you finish all the English subtitles is there anyway that you could possibly add the English dub voice lines into the game?

Can you make an optional patch using Romaji names,
eg. All Yo-Kai, places like Uptown Springdale to Sakura Residents, Springdale Elementary School to Sakura Elementary School, Soultimate Moves and Characters like Bear is now Kuma and Eddie is now Kanchi If you chose Keita (Nate) as your main character, then we can see the side character, Katie’s Japanese name, Fumiko shown on screen. If you chose Fumiko (Katie) as your main character, then you can have the side character Keita’s (Nate’s) Japanese name be shown.
Can you do this please? I’d be really happy.

I am now just capturing the elusive Yo Kai, but I wanted to do two things.
First one, to thank you Master Kota for this great patch. I finished it thanks to your patch some months ago. I am now looking forward to play Yo Kai Watch 4 after 100 % this one. So thank you very much @DrgnMasterKota

With the cheats they need to be updated to the newest build. A member in our discord channel did update them a little back I'll try to find the post and then update the post with those updated workable cheats as soon as I can. Glad you enjoyed the game that's why we make these mods to share with everyone!
Last year, I asked authors about update the codes but they told me that they have no plan to update the codes, unfortunately.
and yeah, have community help to update the codes would be awesome and I'm all for it.

There are some codes are working but you have to change the BID.
It depends, usually it invokes extracting the distribution to your sd card. You can reasonably expect instruction from the mod author, asking here don't make sense as people won't know what mod you are talking about.
