The transition status is notated as being a key importance in determining what is "fair", but it is subcategorized (suggesting that it is more important that they are recognized as one of the binary options, and that being trans is secondary) and also seems to have arbitrary thresholds.
Despite biological/physical facts/obviousness, people often brings "aDvaNcEd BiOloGy" to the matter.
To which I sometimes agree... to an extent.
For instance, there's been studies that shows that people identifying as a certain gender different than "tHE sOcIaLLy iMpOseD" have more hormones in their brains from that gender they identify with.
So that's a biological and scientifical reason to support the idea of people identifying as other's genders.
But just saying that Trans people deserves a Trans category.
It's not a matter of being against anybody, just get the category just like there's categories for disabled people.
That's equality, I support equality, the one that treats everyone as persons and nothing else.
I made an edit that may help clarify the problem I am seeing in it if you want to check again. The main contradiction I see is in the idea presented that we don't need "trans" categorization and ignoring that the solution presented already relies on trans categorization.

Wouldn't that be counterintutive to create a separate category for people who would have pretty much equal builds and able to compete with people from the "original" category?
TBH when you watch womens sports and mens sports you don't care about height or weight unless it's something like boxing where some featherweight champion would get knocked out by a heavyweight champion. What you want to see is the most skilled, fastest (etc) people in the world, not some "fair" category. Imagine how boring basketball would be if eveyone was the same size or they couldn't play, you would want the tallest and most skilled people to play. You don't have women's and men's sports for no reason, you are well aware that men are stronger/faster and their bodys are vastly different. A man claiming to be a women might have a mental issue, however they still have a mans body and the advantages that brings - that's why these "trans" men are dominating in womens sports and "trans" women are not dominating in mens sports. These people are nothing more than cheats and anti-women. They claim to want equality - but want to strip the rights of women away to further their own agenda.

I agree to some extent. I wouldn't say trans=mental, just different.
But I strongly agree that trans people are taking for granted everything real women had to fight for to get the rights they have now.
Not completely saying that trans=antiwomen, but it seems some folks truly are.

My point is that they are using "transition status" to determine if they are fair competition with other males or females. It is a bit besides the point, but I'd assume that needs to have a stable constant that we can measure?
If a transitioner can "compete fairly" with other women because he/she/they are just as weak as the strongest women, this is the recipe to turn women's (and in extension, all) sports into a bio-engineering playground. If you ask me, it is already noticeable.
