So as the title says, i have a bought game that i play on my stock switch, and i wanted to backup those saves on my EmuNand.
I think the only way to do it is booting the CFW on SysNand, doing a backup with jksv of the game and then paste it on the EmuNand right?
But i heard that if you boot the CFW on SysNand instead of EmuNand you will dirty the SysNand leading to a ban in the future if you go online (i think).
Is there a safe way to backup those saves? and will it get dirty?

You really only have to worry about unofficial installed titles. If you just load up the homebrew menu in applet mode and use a save manager like Checkpoint you should be fine.

ok thanks, but what about "dirtying" the SysNand?

ok. Whats applet mode? why are you mentioning that?
Just open the album icon to open the homebrew launcher. This is known as applet mode. Applet mode only has partial RAM access. Some homebrew requires full ram access and doing that requires booting the homebrew launcher through an installed title on the system by holding R while booting. Something as simple as a save manager can just use applet mode.

It should be file, just make sure there is no prodinfo blanking enabled for the SysNand.
Then just start any application while holding r to start the homebrew launcher in application mode, or use applet mode via album.

I use syscfw only for stuff like sysclk and sysdvr for many years now (no idea when I last bootet stock), without any ban.
The main atmosphere devs even expect you to go online with cfw, and develop atmosphere so that it's mostly safe for that.

Otherwise, if you’re afraid to dirty your SysNand like I was with the method above, in order to make sure to keep my sysNand always clean
you can use the NAND dump method.. it will backup saves and all the other in your Nand.. but i know it‘s really long to do

Or can use the method i used to backup my save of Pokémon Violet to avoid the recent Rick of data corruption after the recent update.
I used the TegraExplorer payload, navigates in the SAVE dir, in the option of the current folder I selected the copy to clipboard option. go back to the SD root (or an already created folder) and then pasted the clipboard
whit that done, you have a secure backup of your save that can be restored in the same reverse way

Just keep in mind, this save are only work whit your console, if you need the files inside the folder (for example to modify that) you need to extract them using your console’s key

You could back up your first emunand save data, then delete that one, create a second emunand, and then extract the save data from there and then just reinstall your missing games and restore your first emunand save data.

I know this is a late reply, but why do you recommend this? First time hearing about this. If anything all guides recommend keeping prodinfo blanking enabling for sysnand.
Because you don't want to "dirt" your SYSNAND:

Hello I have a question to your comment you're saying to turn off prod info blanking on the sysmc and I thought this was supposed to be unable to keep it safe from being banned

First and foremost, as of FW 17 you can't blank prodinfo without DNS MITM or something blocking the Nintendo servers anyway (or else it will crash), so blanking the prodinfo is a moot point. Second, The only thing that will get you banned is either installing an NSP, or using cheats during online play. Not doing those 2 things keeps you from being banned. EDIT: well, also restoring a previous nand backup can get you banned. Especially if any kind of error reports were ever sent to Nintendo, followed by the same reports with older ones missing... Just don't install stuff (except from the app store), cheat, or anything that would cause you to have to try flashing a nand backup.

Heck, before I knew any better, I used to edit the crap out of my BoTW save file for super strong shields and weapons and such, on sysnand, and my system is not banned. I can still open the eshop and get game updates.

ok so on my previouse switch i extraced my save for tetris 99 put it on emummc i then hacked the tickets for unlocking the themes then i transfered the save back to sysmc and it seemed to be fine however later i was experementing with the new update to see if goldleaf would work and installed some dlc to the sysnand but then i quickly removed it but it left this blank box with a spinning wheel of some sort i booted into stock and same blank box with spinning wheel for some stupid reason i tried to launch it nothing happened and then even more stupidly i tried to connect to nintendo and bam i was banned but like you said i think it was because i installed the dlc and caused some kind of glitch on my menu i have since fixed the glitch having to compltetly reset the sysnand and start over but none the less i am still banned on that switch i have since purchased another modded oled the white one my preveiouse one is the pokemon edition but i do not want to get this new one banned as i plan on buying games and dlc then dumping for my emummc so i can use cheats and what not i also wanted a modded switch for the much better retro emulaters that allow you to use old school cheats and have the option of shaders to make the games look 100x better than they did well nintendos emulators are horrible anyways i just want to get banned again thanks for your response

Yes. You installed something on sysnand. The only thing you can possibly get away with (and I wouldn't even try it) is installing a firmware update with daybreak. And once you are banned, the Nintendo servers know you are banned. What ever made you think restoring an older firmware would undo that? A quick search in these forums would tell you that A) It doesn't work, and B) Flashing an older NAND backup could get you banned, even if you weren't banned before.

i knew i was not going to get unbanned and i did not use an older firmware i did a system reset from the nintendos safe mode on the sysnand i did this because i glitched the menu because one of the things i installed did not install right and caused a blank box with a loading circle that would not go away hence the reset. i did however try to call nintendo and i tried to convince them it was a glitched install from something i owned but it was a no go the code i got gets sent to japan and only they can lift it but it is something they will not do i figured i had nothing to lose and thank you for letting me know about not using daybreak to update sysmmc i saw a tutorial that actually said to do the opposit for updating i will make sure on my non banned switch to update the sys in stock mode normally and only update the emummc with the aio updater and daybreak
