Hello, it will take about 1-2 months. If there is any advance, I will let you know as soon as possible. Thank you for your support.
To fix the issue all what is required to do is to replace defective GuliKit axis, spring base, spring (forget about GuliKit spring, as it is not curved right and creates creaking noise and scrubbing tactile feedback) and stem/thumbstick with the Nintendo's original joystick parts as marked in the picture:It seems this is their current timeline. Let's wait and see. I asked if all units are currently the same and if so, when revisions will be available.

They are exactly the same size as the GuliKit's.I was wondering about the dead zone and how the sliding white pieces from Gulikit's stick (the little pieces with the magnets) fit with the arms from the original joy-cons. If the parts are not the exact same width, the magnet's positions will hardly be accurate in the center / deadzone.View attachment 349802
The points of contact don't seem the exact same size from the pictures. In the top picture Gulikit's (top piece) seems slightly larger.
Sorry to hear thatI kinda wish I could order these improved versions because I have been completely unable to do this without breaking things.
I still don't think GuliKit was unaware of this. There's just no way. They've also still been completely ignoring anyone talking about it.Sorry to hear that
Considering the time it took for the first batch to be released, I hope I'm wrong, but this may take a while... It's very weird how Aknes claimed there would be improved stick right after the holiday... unless Gulikit was ready, aware, and had this already fixed on a second batch. I don't believe there will be a recall of the defective sticks and have them repaired manually, so whatever the fix, you should need adjustment on the tooling level.
what bothers me more is how they quack this up if the parts from old joys are fitting and fixing the problem :X i have gulikit analog joys and they are not clicking... so this was a copy-paste job oOI still don't think GuliKit was unaware of this. There's just no way. They've also still been completely ignoring anyone talking about it.
If they genuinely didn't know and cared they'd have responded to reports of problems.
Same here. Mine are not as bad as what most have reported but wanted to try and fix the worst of the two. I was literally about to try what @NeoHoth posted above but stopped in here to see what was going on. We had the same idea! But now and previously i always brake off the hold down tabs of the oem sticks no matter how gentle i try to be. Its bending them back down for me that cause them to break. Are the gulikit tabs as fragle as the OEM ones? I haven't taken those apart yet as im waiting to make sure that when i get refunded i do not need to send back. I would not feel right sending them back if i caused damage during the process.I kinda wish I could order these improved versions because I have been completely unable to do this without breaking things.
Please note that they are structured differently and materials used do also differ, therefore there might be a perception of contact points to be different in width as it could be that I took pictures at bad angle and parts were not ideally aligned, as well as GuliKit's parts are a bit translucentThe points of contact don't seem the exact same size from the pictures. In the top picture Gulikit's (top piece) seems slightly larger.
In the lower picture, the piece on the left seems also slightly larger, longer (longer shouldn't be a problem) and seems to have a different width from the back of the piece to the front of the piece. But if it works anyway, that's great news.
I had my old joysticks those started drifting and I dismantled them, and no matter how careful I was, the tangled tabs got broken.Same here. For such full-sized one-handed controller I would like to suggest these K-Silver Hall Effect Joysticks + this base. They do also cost less and availability is only going to expand due to standard size...as well as if we upkeep this Hall Sensing trend by continuing purchasing joystick replacements for every possible device we own and keep on retrofitting, heheHello, I'm super new here. Found this thread while searching the internet for info on these new Gulikit hall effect joycon replacements. Little disappointed to find that there's issues with the current hardware revision. I've been looking for a hall effect stick option for the one handed gamepad I make.

Just reading through the findings and fix attempts so far, it seems like a new slider arm with slightly different dimensions will fix this. I'm probably going to just buy some of these and open them up. I've got CAD software, 3D modeling experience, and far to many 3D printers. If I find a solution, I'll be happy to at least share the 3D model. If it turns out that Gulikit isn't going to revise their hardware and this is simply what we're stuck with... I suppose we'll at least have a way to fix these for ourselves.
If anybody has the slider arm in question and some calipers, you could send me the dimensions and I'll 3D model it ahead of time and mail you some printed replacements to test while I wait on Aliexpress to ship me sticks.
Got mine before anyone reported the issues. I’m right there with you. Shouldn’t have to fix something that should already work. They offered me a refund but was waiting to see if they want them back first cause @AngelofWoe stated they did want hers back. Will tinker with them if they don’t since my OG switch joycons drift.I'm aware of this issue just recently, I'm not willing to fix something that should work correctly in the first place, so I've cancelled my package from Gulikit's Official Store on Aliexpress.
Will buy it again when they release a new revised (and fixed) version.
To clarify, I did not have to send mine back. My refund wasn't started by me, the store did, which allows them to just refund instead of doing a return. If you request a refund through Amazon's system you'll have to return them.Got mine before anyone reported the issues. I’m right there with you.
