Hello,

Yes, I have searched first before posting :) My problem is a bit different from what I found.

I have a Switch on FW 15 and Atmosphere 1.4
This works fine!
However...
I decided to get a bigger SD: a Sandisk Ultra 1TB.
This is what I did to start using the new SD:
I used the Windows app Guiformat to format it to Fat32, allocation unit size 32768. I used quick format. It took 20 seconds.
Then I selected all files and folders from the root of my "old" SD, copied it to my hard drive and copied it to the root of the new SD.

Booted up the Switch with my new SD. The Hekate menu showed up just fine. When I click on the "CFW - emummc" button, I get this message:
unknown pkg1 version hos version not supported

(red letters on a black background).
When I boot up the Switch with the old SD again, it works fine.
Has anyone got a clue what to do? The contents of both SD's should be the same. Why does the new SD give me an error? Could it be a faulty SD? Or have I used a wrong way to format (maybe I should have used full format instead of quick format, or something)?
Thanks!

Using your old sd card, please go to Hekate and click the emuMMC tile all the way to the right and take a screenshot of what you see.

Mine looks like this:

If yours says Type: SD Raw Partition like mine, it means we need to copy that over as well. Here’s how you can do that. https://rentry.org/EmuNANDNewSDcard (I prefer the Hekate method because it’s all done via the Switch.)

If on the other hand it says it’s Files based we’ll need to pause and rethink…

SD Raw Partition, it is.
I clicked the link and I think I should follow the Hekate steps. 22 steps!! I think I will try it tomorrow (it is getting late here).
Thanks for helping!
Oh btw did you delete your atmosphere folder and not just copy-n-paste?
I copied and pasted everything
from the old SD
via the harddrive of my PC
to the new SD.

Ok, it’s 100% confirmed!

You have a hidden partition and there was no mention of copying a hidden partition in OP.

Go through one of the three methods in this link and you should be all set: https://rentry.org/EmuNANDNewSDcard

The Hekate way is my preference…but any of the three will work.

E: unfortunately you will need to format your SDCard again to kick this off. I use rufus and create a single non-bootable FAT32 / 32k block size partition. Once everything in the link above is complete you will copy your data back over using Windows copy-paste just like you did before.

also you can use Minitool Partition wizard to shrink the new SD partition and leave the empty space for copying there the EmuNAND from the old SD Card.

Or also, you can take the opportunity and convert the old RAW partition on to file based and copy the files to the new SD Card.

on any case you will need to edit your new emummc.ini to match your choose. or use NYX to setup the new EmuNAND.

He he he don't worry. If you read the instructions Hekate will backup the actual raw partition emuNAND to a set of files then you copy these set of files to the new sd card and use nyx to restore to a empty space at end of your nee sd card.

That set of files are the one you can use as a file based emuNAND. Only need extra step

So, go ahead the hekate method is the best.

I ended up using the NxNandManager method, since that one was a little easier.
I performed all steps, and booted the Switch with the new SD.
To my surprise, Atmposphere booted well. After I pressed Launch and pressed the CFW - EMuMMC button (as I always do), it loaded the landing page with all my games visible. Great!

However, when I start a game, it says:
"the software is not downloaded. It will be downloaded now".
With a Cancel/Download option.
I tried a few games, and they all give this message. It looks like the Switch cannot find the game data. What to do?
-----------

EDIT
I think the problem lies at this step:

19. Once done, access the /emummc/ folder on your SD card.
  • If there is a folder named /ER00/, and one named /RAW1/, then move the contents of the /RAW1/ folder into the /ER00/ folder and then delete the /RAW1/ folder.
  • If the /ER00/ folder doesnt exist, and only the /RAW1/ folder exists, then skip this step.
There were a ER00 and a RAW1 folder, so I followed the instructions of the first bullet.
However, when I look at my old SD card, it has only a RAW1 folder, no ER00.
Should I rename the ER00 folder to RAW1 on my new SD?

That or change what it says in the sdmc:/emummc/emummc.ini file. They need to match and point to your copy of data that you moved over from your old card…wherever that might be.

EDIT2: It works! :D
Old text:

@binkinator

The current folder structure looks like this:

sdmc:/emummc
ER00 (folder)
emummc.ni (file)

sdmc:/emummc/ER00
Nintendo (folder)
Raw_based (file)

sdmc:/emuMMC/ER00/Nintendo
Album (folder)
Contents (folder)
Save (folder)

The contents of the ini is:

[emummc]
enabled=1
sector=0x2
path=emuMMC/ER00
id=0x0000
nintendo_path=Emutendo

That looks good already, doesn't it? The ini points to the ER00 folder. The content is indeed located there.
Is there some other reference that might be wring here? What should I change?

By the way, this was my OLD ini:

[emummc]
enabled=1
sector=0x1a18c800
path=emuMMC/RAW1
id=0x31574152
nintendo_path=emuMMC/RAW1/Nintendo

Hmmmm Might it be that last line? should I make that
nintendo_path=emummc/ER00/Nintendo
?

That must be it. I will try. :)

EDIT2
It works!
Thank you for your help!

I get worried about:

The contents of the ini is:

[emummc]
enabled=1
sector=0x2
path=emuMMC/ER00
id=0x0000
nintendo_path=Emutendo

That's telling to CFW what your emulated "nintendo" folder is on SD:/Emutendo instead of the current path SD:/emuMMC/ER00/Nintendo

should look into that

Hi There,

I wonder if you can help me. My switch was modded and all working fine. I lost the original sd card. I had a back up of this sd card copied to my pc. I got a new sd card and copied the back up files to the new sd card. Now I get exactly the same error as the original post on this thread. Can anyone help?
