Gaming Game Decrypter Compatibility List

Just use 5.50 GEN B-2 and use version 2 of the Decrypter and all games released up to today should work. Just make sure you use filelist.txt method below and try messing around with the ISO settings under the VSH menu. FYI: Gran Turismo EU does work, my friend who has the EU version was able to play it without problems. It can be due to your plugins, files on PSP, or maybe how you updated your CFW.

This list assumes you are running UMD m33driver, if you're using anything else to boot, please mention

Motorstorm Arctic Edge [EU]
Gran Turismo [US] -reports of being picky, try turning off all plugins
Disgaea 2 [US] -Needs a UMD in drive (any will do, even movies) (reports of UMD not required)
Persona [US] -reports of being picky, try turning off all plugins
Beaterator [US]
Soul Calibur Broken Destiny [JP] - This game also has a patch to avoid decryptor
Yu Gi Oh 5Ds Tag Force 4 [JP]
Rugby League Challenge [EU]
Tales of Versus [JP] -Must follow the QUOTE at the bottom of this post, other wise it will not work
428 Fuusa Sareta Shibuya de JPN
Ys Seven [JP] -Must follow the QUOTE at the bottom of this post, other wise it will not work

Please report findings, I think this list would be convenient.
1)report your Game region and CFW version
2)if special settings are needed, report i.e. Needs any UMD in the drive.

IF GAMES DON'T WORK, TRY BELOW. With this method below all games should work, just make sure
1) You are running 5.50 GEN B2, doesn't matter what PSP model long as you can run it
2) You are working from a ISO, not a CSO

Please someone try Disgaea 2 and Persona PSP. Couldn't manage to make them boot, but I may be doing something wrong. I followed all the steps, but I still end up with a black screen.

Read somewhere that Persona doesn't work but Disgaea does.

Edit: Forget what I said, they both work apparently. Haven't tried myself.

Actually, i heard Disgaea 2 only boots if you have a UMD in your Drive (Any UMD, dunno why, unless someone figured out another way)

Im trying out the EUR GT PSP. I'll let you know how that goes.

EDIT: Hmm this is a little weird, I get to the TM screen then Sony screen, then Polyphony screen. Tells me that it's got autosave and then gives me a black screen.

Tried with Sony and M33 driver, same results. Does it matter if I turned it into a cso and compressed it?

EDIT 2: Tried again with an uncompressed iso file and a UMD in the drive. Still get to the autosave and black screen. I'm grabbing the US version now.

I managed to make Disgaea 2 work. No UMD. 5.50 GEN-B2, with the Sony NP9550 driver. Finally. Still, I can't play Persona. Damn it.

EDIT: Disgaea 2 works with every driver

People need to report their Firmwares, what ISO driver their using, whether they have a UMD in the drive or not, the region of the game, and what model PSP (1k, 2k, 3k).

That said, how the hell do I get Persona working >>

Okay, here's my wet blanket addition:

CONFIRMED NOT WORKING:
Persona [US] on 5.00 M33-6. Decrypted, all drivers tested, black screens.
This must be one of the "picky" ones.

NOTE: No UMD in the drive, because I removed it in lieu of an internal CR-3100 mod. Sorry guys

Does anyone have a definite tutorial on how to do this? Cause for some reason I keep getting a "Game cannot start" message.

1)Install the decrypter on the psp/game/xxxx
2)use UMDgen, open the ISO, and go extract eboot.pbp
3)put that extracted eboot.pbp into the root of the psp ms
4)boot psp, open decrypter and follow it's instructions
5)put the new eboot.pbp (on psp's ms, root/decryptor) into the ISO using UMDgen
6)save as .iso (takes about 1 to 6 min)
7)put the new iso into the psp's iso folder.

if it doesn't work, try changing umd modes and firmware
