NOTE: i used chickHEN + hellcat's flasher to get to m33

Well, I got Persona [US] to work on my 5.50GEN-B PSP 1000

I needed to add an extra step in the rebuild of the ISO

Load the Clean ISO. Go to File>File List>Export

Save it as Filelist.txt

Replace the EBOOT.BIN

Go to File>File List>Import

Choose Filelist.txt

Select YES to forcing LBAs, then Save.

Game should run fine

I believe the issue is all the LBAs get reset when you drag the new EBOOT in which gives a black screen. May want to redo all the games we've reported as failed.

Confirmed working with Persona (U). Using 2000 PSP, GEN B2, M33 Driver
Edit: M33 Driver only showed opening, blank screen after. Sony driver seems to work fine.

Testing with Tales of VS now. Works fine doing this same exact step with the Sony Driver. Gen B2, 2000 PSP ofcourse. Doing this Filelist.txt really does work.

Hm i never changed my Version.txt so :/
Mind telling me how to do that?

Reboot PSP into Recovery Mode (hold R while rebooting).

Go to "Configuration" and Enable "Use Version.txt"

Go Back

Go to "Advanced" and select "Toggle USB (flash0)"

On your PC, open your PSP's drive and navigate to X:\vsh\etc (X is your drive letter for the PSP)

Right-click "Version.txt" and go to "Properties". Remove the "Read-Only" checkmark

Open "Version.txt" for editing.

Where you see "Release:5.50:" replace 5.50 with 6.00 so it reads "Release:6.00:"

Save

On the PSP select "Toggle USB (flash0)"

Go Back

Exit

Done.

Still saying 5.50 is normal, it's just supposed to trick games that need 6.00 into thinking you HAVE 6.00

The Game could not be started thing isn't normal however... You may want to change it back in that case.

Can someone upload just the decrypted eboot from Persona please?
Why? You need the ISO and a hacked PSP to play it, so what's stopping you from making your own? Most people's problem result from the resaving of the ISO anyway, not the decrypting of the EBOOT. Besides, the EBOOT is licensed Sony code and can't be redistributed.

Indeed. I get the "Game Could Not Be Started" error and Im on 5.50 GEN-B Full.
This only applies to the 5.55+ games? The only thing I can think of is if you have either "Execute BOOT.BIN" or "Plain Modules" enabled in the Advanced Configuration section of your Recovery Menu.

For some reason when I run it I get "Cannot decrypt games eboot"
You're taking the EBOOT from the SYSDIR and putting it on the root of your MemStick? And you're running 5.50GEN-B2? I don't see why it wouldn't. There are a few games that won't decrypt but Persona's not one of them.

Yes it applies to all 5.55+ games and none of those are disabled.

I made a patch for Persona
http://www.mediafire.com/?tzmmw2jz3nm
copy xdelta and the patch file in the ISO dir and then type in the command prompt: xdelta3.exe -d -s original_file delta_file new_file
Needs the UMD ISO MODE set to Sony NP9660
Thank you nIxx, I don't know how to do this. Perhaps a batch file to do the command will make things easier.

I got Naruto working!
Just disable Execute BOOT.bin and plain modules and it should work.
