Hi,

i am trying to install hermes IOS222 (IOS36 as default) and IOS223 (IOS37 merge IOS36).
IOS222 installs with no problem, but everytime i want to install IOS223 (IOS37 merge IOS36) it keeps giving me an error:
"failed to allocate buffer....."

My internet connection is working (USB LAN).
is there any way to install IOS223 (IOS37 merge IOS36) offline?
thank you.

I once tried the installed with the offline files for IOS36 and IOS37 on sd card. IOS222 installation went fine, for IOS223 with IOS37 dip, it wanted internet. I guess it's just not properly written, or i have a typo in my file names.

Here it is, i've made an offline version of Hermes-Installer, includes WADs:

[EDIT V2: Fixed missing IOS 202/222 files, now it works with all versions, please redownload the package!]
< *removed - cios wads are not allowed* >

Unpack the files to the root of your SD. Use Offline-Installer-DOL from HBC or install included WADs with Wad-Manager (not included).

For DOL-Installation, use the following settings:

- IOS 202 --> using IOS 36
- IOS 222 --> using IOS 36
- IOS 223 --> using IOS 37 merged with IOS 36

Plug in the HDD in the USB-Port 0 (bottom) and other USB devices in USB-Port 1 (before power on the wii).
Use USB Loader CFG 31a or later with ios=223-mload setting. Microphones, USB LAN, ... are now working! No HD spin down problems anymore!

Try it and report ...

cIOS wads are included in the package but are against the rules, so I have removed them.

Please don't reupload them, thanks.

    @SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

    @Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

    @SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

    Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

    I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
