Well this is an abysmal week, nothing to interest anyone with a Wii or DS.

I am shitting you.

These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be <b>"shipping dates"</b> which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or <b>after</b>. Some games may get <b>delayed </b>some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time.<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->

Yet another strategy RPG but this could be one of the better ones. The developers has done the previous games in the series as well as Star Ocean so they know what they're doing.

GTA GTA GTA GTA...nope that won't be game of the week, it was close though. I'm not saying this to shock people, I'm saying this as I really feel that this little platform/puzzle hybrid will satisfy myself and gamers more than GTA. Hell I'm even sure that it could be the DS game of the year for many gamers. Sadly this is up against some big games this week but I feel that it'll be one of those sleeper hitshits that'll join the likes of Soul Bubbles, Proffessor Layton & Puzzle Quest. I just hope that this game has better sales than Soul Bubbles.

Its one of those I feel you'll have to play to love. It may just look like a pretty platformer with a gimick but it'll be great. Sure I have been wrong in the past (damn you Insecticide) but I am confident that this game will be regarded as a classic. Look here is my ass...I'm putting it on the line, if I am wrong you may spank it red raw...wait I'll probably enjoy that, damn my kinkiness.

This isn't a quick DS spin off of a big franchise, its a proper entry. This game has had just about the same amount of effort put into it as a regular console GTA game and thus should be treated in the same way. Rockstar Leeds should be commended at the level of effort they have put into the game. The game has so much content that you'll be playing this for a long time and hopefully unlike GTA4 it'll have more "fun" sandbox elements for those who get bored of missions quickly. Being for the DS you'd expect this game to be toned down...well don't expect it! The game has a M rating for blood, drug reference, sexual content, strong Language & violence, I personally find those to be immature to be honest but some of you won't want your kids to play this. Some have moaned about the graphics...well most games look like crap in still pictures, best judge it on a actual DS.

Fans of Panzer Tactics may wanna take a a look at this game. Its from Slitherine, who have a long history in making well recieved PC strategy though most Nintendo gamers may remember their Gameboy Colour first person shooter "Tyrannosaurus Tex" (http://uk.gameboy.ign.com/articles/133/133802p1.html) which Eidos cruelly cancelled despite good press and the game being finished (mmm that sounds familuar...oh right they'er doing the same with Gauntlet DS!). Anyway this is the first DS with another getting a release soon after.

Every year a Crayon Shin game comes out, sometimes they are good (Crayon Shin 4 GBC) and sometimes they are bad (others that I can't remember the name of). For the past few years the DS titles have been ports of GBA ones until now.

You play this kid who can morph into various things and you run, jump & do mini games in this platforming adventure. Other than it having a bit of a clayamtion look on the levels I know nothing much else other than the fact that the trailer makes me wanna play this. Chances of this getting a release outside of Japan are good as various titles have made it into Spain...in Spanish and Italy...in Italian.

Being platform games they should be qutie easy to play regardless of Japanese knowledge. Previous DS games were Crayon Shin-Chan DS: Arashi wo Yobu Nutte Crayoon Daisakusen!, which was decent & Crayon Shinchan: Arashi wo Yobu Cinema Land, which was ok.

I really enjoyed the last game, though it could have been better and that is why we get yearly updates!
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->The 2009 installment of the award-winning sports franchise brings a raft of extensive new additions that will further bridge the gap between PES and the real thing.

PES 2009 for Wii boasts three control methods, with the intuitive 'point and drag' interface of last year's game enhanced to make defending and shooting more instinctive. The Wii game also marks the introduction of the Master League, which places the player in charge of a lowly team and charges them with building their reputation and success through astute signings, good on-field performances and training methods. PES 2009 also has a greatly improved online mode, with up to eight players competing online at once, using two consoles and with four players per Wii console.

* Exclusive UEFA Champions League Mode utilizing all the elements and attributes of the competition
* Improved graphics for an ultra-real experience
* With smarter AI system your team mates will be constantly seeking out open space, taking intelligent lines toward the goal and on defense and also actively calling for the ball
* New, more realistic camera angles for your preferred perspective of gameplay
* New teams, players and stadiums
* Improvements to the fan-favorite Master League Mode – Play as one player just like in real life mastering your own ball handling and your off the ball support
* Updated rosters from your favorite club and national teams
* Great improvements in ball control, passing and your teammates reactions are more in tune with how teammates react in real life<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Sounds like they took everything that worked last time and improved upon it and added a ton of stuff that'll enhance the lifespan of the game.

I loved Rune Factory despite the odd bug, though I have yet to play the sequel yet. If this was otu another week I'll be all over it but there are other games I want to spend my time on.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->From the creators of Harvest Moon and Rune Factory for the DS comes the first installment of Rune Factory for a home console. In Rune Factory Frontier, you play as Laguna, who's starting life in a completely new land. Your goal is to build up your village in classic Harvest Moon style (Rune Factory is an offshoot of that series), attracting new residents, and eventually earning the affections of some possible marriage targets.

Developed exclusively for Wii, Rune Factory: Frontier features stunning graphics and takes full advantage of the Wii's unique controls to fully immerse players in the Rune Factory universe. Rune Factory: Frontier incorporates an open-ended structure that allows players to choose the type of game they wish to experience. Whether it’s growing crops, expanding the town, fighting (or befriending) monsters or even falling in love, the experience is unique to each player.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

This doesn't look like a R2R game to me, it looks like a Celebrity Boxing game for fuck sake and have taken all of the original characters out. All of the charm of the original looks to have vanished. Why do this Atari, WHY? Something tells me that they were making this under a differetn name, saw that the other celebrity lookalike game failed and tagged on a well recieved name onto it. I predict a bad game. Well at least Don King Boxing & Punch Out are on their way.

A classic returns, uncut and on the Wii. Its already been dumped too, which is nice and early...can we have The Conduit early to please?
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars – The Director's Cut builds on the original, boasting a new and explosive narrative interwoven with the first story. New puzzles have been added for Nintendo DS and Wii that specifically utilize Nintendo's unique control methods. The game also features stunning animated facial expressions drawn by Dave Gibbons, the artistic genius behind the comic book and upcoming movie, Watchmen.

The game starts with the player in control of charming Parisian photo-journalist Nicole Collard, who witnesses the brutal and horrifying murder of one of Paris’s richest and most influential statesmen. During her investigations, which feature exclusive new locations, Nico meets amiable American George Stobbart, who has been unwittingly caught up in the sinister and bloody theft of an ancient manuscript. Together, they are drawn into a terrifying conspiracy rooted in a long-forgotten medieval legend.

Expanding on the original classic storyline, The Director's Cut features tight scripting and an intense atmosphere from the explosive opening sequence to the gripping finale, where the full threat of the conspiracy is revealed.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
This is also coming to the DS the week after. Both have had great reviews.

Another entry in the series, the last one will actually make North American shores in May for those interested and I guess if that does well then we'll see this one and maybe Super Robot Taisen W too.

I don't really know much else apart from it uses the GBA slot so you can get bonus stuff from the old games. IF you want to know more, Google helps.

FYI, Mugen no Frontier (Endless Frontier) is NOTHING like main series. And no, there wont be W or K in States. Same reason as Jump! Super/Ultimate Stars. Damn those licences.
