Not really the best week ever but then not the worst week either, great to see Lets Tap make it out of Japan. To be honest last week we had a ton of games out and I've still only played a few so far so not fusses plus...Ghostbusters, I'm all over that badboy!

If you live in Europe, and you don't pirate games or you don't own a PS3 then no Ghostbusters for you until October fucking Atari & Sony...DEATH DEATH DEATH, oh well no sales from me then.

These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time.<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->

Ah finally! Been waiting a long time for these Ghostbuster games, originally to be release October 2008 but delayed due to Sierra being taken over by those evil hellians Activision (who were once the darlings of the gaming world...sniff). Activision didn't want a game that'll sell well and they also didn't want the Ghostbusters license back because then they would be able to stick their previous won Ghostbuster games on VC/XBLA/PSN and make easy money, no Activision would rather keep the have franchises that they can bleed to death like Crash Bandicoot & Spyro. Rant over.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->With Manhattain newly overrun by ghosts and other supernatural creatures, it's up to you to take on the role of a new recruit joining the original, famous Ghostbusters team. Equipped with a variety of unique weapons and gadgets, you will hunt, fight and capture a wide range of uncanny phantasms and demons in an all-new, funny and frightening battle to save New York City from its latest paranormal plague.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
This version is different to the other versions. There is no voice acting on this game but instead you get to drive around in the Ecto-1 (which you can't in the other games), you can manage your team, supplies and everything giving the game an management style edge to it. Also the game is said to incorporate "RPG elements" into the game. The gameplay is said to be more team based, sort of like Cannon Fodder and the recent underground gem, Elite Forces 77. While I'm not expecting a perfect game, I do feel that it'll be a good game to play for those who like the sound of it and maybe better for little Ghostbuster fanboys like me. Please look at the trailer as the images make the game look like a low grade PSX title.

*does a little girly squeal*
Yeah you could say that I am looking forward to playing this game, though if the PC version hits the net first then I'll be all over that one first, not because of the graphics but because of the physics and also because I can always play on my PC where the Wii I can't because it only works on the TV in the lounge and my kid watches her dumb ass programs on it all the time...course saying that she loves Ghostbusters too.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->The game features an all new storyline but still manages to replicate most of the major scenes from the films, including the hotel-room capture of New York library ghost, Slimer, and the attack of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Almost all of the original cast are involved, including all four Ghostbusters, the mayor, and even Walter Peck.

The game itself is mission based and has you catching ghosts with your proton packs and then manoeuvring them into a ghost trap--just like the movie. Whether that’s enough to fill a whole game isn’t clear, but the funny dialogue and celebrity voiceovers should help paper over any cracks.
Key Features

* Tools of the trade: Use all the same gadgets from the movies, including the iconic proton packs, particle throwers, the ghost-locating PKE meter, and Ecto-goggles.
* Direct-to-game sequel: Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson all reprise their roles from the first two movies, and Akroyd and Ramis wrote the game's story.
* Nice day for a drive: Get behind the wheel of the iconic Ecto-1 vehicle from the movie and chase down the faster-moving ghosts.
* He slimed me: The game features all the most famous ghosts from the first two movies, including Slimer, the terror dogs, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, and Vigo.
* New York, New York: The highly detailed environments allow for plenty of collateral damage, as a special counter rates the carnage you’re causing in dollar amounts.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
The version is developed seperately, it is not a low grade port (which is welcoming) and sports a more "cartoony" look, so look at it as a video game version of the excellent Real Ghostbusters cartoons rather than movie. This will also be released on PSP & PS2 but Red Fly say that they are ports of this version and that this version has had a great deal of attention towards it. I'm not expecting the best game in the world, but I know that Ghostbuster fans will enjoy playing it. Reviews have been pretty good, but not great giving it 7.5-8/10 scores...which to be honest is just fine for me.

Many broken fingers will come from this game. This game has had some amazingly good reviews, most of which say its perfect..even Edge Magazine says its great and that is one of those magazines that seem to be harder on games than other sources. The game is this, you put your Wiimote on the table and you tap a lot. The premise sounds stupid tome...but then so did Peggle.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Blazing new ground in Nintendo Wii control design and created by Prope, the studio that Sonic the Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka established in 2006, Let's Tap utilizes a groundbreaking control scheme where the Wii controller is placed on a box or flat surface so that the controller can detect minute vibrations. Players of all ages and skill levels then tap the box or flat surface to interact with the game; there's no need to hold the controller.
* Features five separate game modes with multiple levels and allowing up to four players for multiplayer action
* In Tap Runner players use differing finger tapping pressure to make simple stick figure racers run through an obstacle course.
* In Visualizer players are allowed to create dazzling fireworks effects, dramatic paint strokes, amongst other effect as they tap out different rhythm patterns that correspond to different effects.
* Silent Blocks finds players taking turns removing blocks from a large stack, tapping too hard will result in a collapsing stack of blocks.
* Bubble Voyager allows players to fly through space, blasting obstacles and enemies in order to reach the far stretches of the universe.
* Rhythm Tap allows players to time the taps of their fingers to high energy music.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
A lot of people will not play this based on the trailer below or just the premise to this but like Tetris, most Popcap games & more recently Boom Blox but I reckon that this'll be one of those games you may find it hard to put down.

Well there are only three games that I really want but lets face it, we're spoiled! There was a time when one game a month on each console was enough.

Can't wait for the DS & Wii Overlord games next week, shame hardly anyone gives a damn about them.

Played the japanese version of Let's Tap.. awesome game, great to play with friends!

And finally, Ghostbusters! I'll probably end up playing the PC, Wii and DS versions.. thinking about which one I should start first

Same for me, expecting a dump of the PC one any moment now.

*keeps refreshing various magical sites*

I'll play the first one I can get but I reckon the PC one will be the best, heard that every member of the crowd in the Stay Puft scene has AI and reacts differently every time to him. May not sound much to some people, but I appreciate attention to detail.

Done with GH since 3. I think Harmonix produces much better quality games.

Plus GH I think has 3 more coming out this year. GH5, GH Van Halen, Smash Hits.. and one more I think. Then DJ Hero.

Im not looking forward to Ghostbusters, "Was never a fan".

Played the Japanese release of Let's Tap it worked quite well. Loud though if your friends have no Rhythm and beat on the box like giant apes.

Pushed back to July...for now.
The website still says june 16
Their website sucks balls.

Someone from Graffiti replied to a email I sent them last week pretty much saying that its pushed back to July, they had to save resources to push Black Sigil apparently. I said this in the last thread.

Also pretty much every retail site says its out July 7th, and retail sites prefer to say a game is out sooner than later. I hope that person and those sites are wrong just so this thing is out, can't say I am interested in it anymore.

You're right. I checked a bunch of other websites and they had the 7th. Oh well, thanks hadrian.

Is that a ghostbuster screen? Hadrian change it, its the third screen.

I'll just wait for next week, Shin Megami Tensei DS and Overlord minions

Eh.... Transformers. Oh what..... Gamespot lists Picross 3D to be released June? OMG, June has been pretty good.

There was a time when the DS had a over-flood of good games; AKA March! Just have to wait for December.
