This is a thread where you share stuff you have returned. Please share your story. :)

I bought 2 of these and a charger bit ago, but realized that I want more speed, less weight, and a smaller form factor. These batteries were running my scooter. I was running them in series to obtain 24 volts. The scooters original running voltage. However, I’ve replaced the controller and can overvolt it to 36v. The higher voltage will give me more speed. Along with that, I’ll have more capacity/range. All the other scooter that I’ve been looking at, run at 36 volts. I’ve been looking because I really like the scooter and want something faster/stronger. It’s cheaper to upgrade the battery, rather than buying a whole new scooter. The old setup was 24v 18ah, the new battery that I’ll be getting is 36v 20ah.

The only downside to overvolting this scooter will be that the controller and motor will get hotter faster. The controller has a low voltage cutoff at 20v. A 36v battery will get damaged if drawn that low. Probably can drain to 35v before start losing power. 33v would be the danger zone, accounting for voltage sag. I’ll be installing a voltmeter to monitor my usage.

Since the scooter was free (found it in a pile of trash off the freeway). Story. I don’t mind if I blow the motor or controller. If I do, then I’ll upgrade from the brushed motor to a brushless. A new motor with controller would be about $100. I’ve already installed 3 12v SLA batteries to test the speed, and I really like it better than at 24 volts. Just yea, I’ve got to be mindful of heat buildup.

Have you returned anything? What was it? Why did you return it?

I'd have to comprise an awfully long list. I return everything that is not in mint condition. If it has even a small scuff, scrape, bend, ding, etc. I'll return or ask for a replacement. If I'm paying for a brand new item, it should be in 100% brand new condition. I've sent back/returned/exchanged many large televisions also. It's like, sure it might not be the top of the line model out there but $1500 isn't a junk model either. If it has a dark blotch in one corner of the screen, dead pixels, banding/posterization issues, significant DSE, or anything similar it will be returned or exchanged.

I've gien up trying to return things Decades ago. They always kept say "Oh we can't accept that. It's been open, or you used it [when clearly I haven't] Thus when I get the product, and don't like it afterwards, I say oh well. [actually I say harsher words than that]

A Chromebook because it wasn't compatible with most apps I wanted to install, and other than that... Can't remember anything else I returned.

People who purchase from Amazon should be careful not to do too many returns or they may get banned as it's seen as abusing the system. What is too many? No one knows exactly.

The only thing that I have returned as of this year was a 3rd-party Amiibo reader for PC, not an Amiiqo or N2 Elite but an unbranded one. I couldn't find the drivers anywhere online or even got it to communicate with my 2DS.

Anbernic RG353P.

Couldn't even emulate Mega Drive games at a proper frame rate without skipping and stuttering. And that's with deploying custom firmware and tinkering with the settings. Kept it for less than 48 hours before deciding nah and sent it back.

These cheap Chinese emulation devices are still stuck in the 00's.

Returned copy of Edge of Eternity, didn't want to play, changed my mind. Also returned a sealed copy of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, found an used copy with DLC for cheaper price. Then again some of my returns are outragerous since Amazon doesn't care about returns, I have return used tempered glass lol

eBay kinda does something similar. when I received my superslim ps3, which seemed to have a defect (found out later that it was related to sony actually), they put me on a list for trying to return the item. however, the guy said I could keep the system, and he would refund my money, which he did. anyway, I'm no longer on this list, and it would remind me of this every time I tried to return something for about a year or so. I have no idea how that even happened, but it made me angry.

So far no problem with Amazon returns lol. My sister abuse it, they won't ban you if you have hundred of order each years.

Then I'm in the clear. I can't post other things I bought on the "things you recently bought or got" thread, because they're adult toys :tpi::blush::evil:

well, @JuanBaNaNa once tried to sell his used butt plug back to gamestop. yeah, who knew they had a side business for adult toys??? anyway, they accepted his return, repackaged it, and sold it as new to someone else.

[checks in the box I received] :ohnoes::cry:

[returns it, hoping Amazon won't site me]

Funny thing I sent some dude a sex toy for hacking my shipstation account, funny thing the bank account was inactive even though the shipping postage was created lol I didn't lose any money though.

Oh sheesh, Amazon. I don’t know why and it’s been like this for about ten years. I can not leave reviews. My account seems banned from that function. I never got an email about why, I tried to contact help, but my query falls into their black hole. Sorry sellers.

My account also got banned from posting reviews too. I don't know why, I haven't violated any guidelines.

Wow. Strange. I wonder how to resolve this. I’m sure some sellers are all like, “WTF, brah. Did you like your purchase? It’s been 3 weeks!”

Now that I think about it, I did buy a DS Lite about 10-15 years ago. In the description, there was a note about the included R4 Card. I bought that. Was I guilty of participating in unspoken sales? I dug through my emails, I know I wasn’t reported or anything like that.
