As you can see I just bought a series S for emulation, which is great however I dont have access to the xbox games. Not the paid xbox games but the free ones that you can install in your xbox in dev mode. How do we play the backwards compatible xbox games?

What "free ones"? Since you are talking about dev mode means you're talking about Retroarch? If so that's emulation, and (original) Xbox emulation is not that great even on PCs..

do you mean the homebrew games? you have to install them through your browser. use edge to avoid issues.
yes homebrew xbox games. I installed the xbox games through my network Z drive just like my retroarch games. So delete the xbox games from my z network drive and install through edge browser? Thanks Ill look it up

you can't install them that way. you have to use your ip:Port in the address bar of edge to get into the xbox portal. make sure you create a password and username while in dev mode. input those, then send over the main file, then its dependencies. you can drag and drop them. wait for it to finish, then it will be in your devmode list. I strongly suggest you install safe exit.

From where? Like from some Warez site on your pc ? You can't just drag & drop Xbox iso images and expect them to work in Xbox Series S. If Retroarch has a core for Xbox emulation you might have a chance to boot the iso file, but then again Original Xbox emulation in general is not that good..

Yes I have safe exit with username and password for my xbox portal. So open from edge and insert my Ip address to access my xbox portal and install the games from there just like I did when installing the retroarch app and exit app? Got it Thanks

maybe he means xbox homebrew games? can't run them. homebrew games on the series x/s are in apxs format (think that's the order, but I could be wrong. however, that's the extension or close to it).

I cant post where but you can just google it and find it there on some sites
there are a lot of homebrew games on discord, in gamr13's channel. however, isos or original xbox homebrew cannot be played. I'm sure something like that would be possible, but it would get taken down by microsoft.
