@pedro702

but it's PAL region (and in Spanish language) only.
I'm gonna try to do the same but with NTSC region and English language.

anyways, the video looks like it's now private but i had the luck of getting the modified PAL ISO. So i'm checking how he/she made it and try to do that in my NTSC ISO.

EDIT: Video is not private nowadays, oops :P
@pedro702

So today i tested with WiiSX-RX v2.5 the game Driver 2 NTSC-U (v1.1) which i've patched for boot from Disc 2 and obviously i've removed (deleted) with UltraISO the FMV scenes/videos by seeing inside the patched PAL Driver 2 i've seen (which surprisinly it was also patched for boot from Disc 2! More info about this patch here).

The result was incredible... (take a look to this blog post where i published what i did)

I guess some games that crashed after FMV intros (Like Resident Evil 3 and FF IX) should also work without FMVs.
Which programs do I need to remove them or replace them with blank STR files?

For Driver 2 (PS1), check this blog post, i've explained how to do it using UltraISO: https://gbatemp.net/blogs/proving-a...traiso-and-the-result-was-incredible-o.18741/
For some other games, check this for remove them using a blank STR made by @SuperrSonic and the tool PSX-MODE2: http://gbatemp.net/threads/how-i-ca...or-remove-the-fmv-scenes.606843/#post-9732148

Thanks, I just removed FF IX's FMVs with PSX-MODE2, I'll test it later. :yaywii:
FF IX: Black screen when FMV should start for about 7 minutes until I exit emulator, game don't crashed, and I don't know if I had to wait a little more for game to continue; or use other method to remove FMVs.
Residen Evil 3: Crashed after "This is my, last escape..." quote.
Croc 2: Worked.

I will test other games that crahsed because of FMVs later.

Should I add that some games like Mega Man X3 - 6 and Resident Evil 2 and 3 have Gamecube ports than can be played using Nintendont to WiiSXRX's compatibility list?
no lol its like saying they can be played on ps3 or something, wiisxrx compatibility list is just for wiisxrx.

Those games that apparently don't work but for which the compatibility list says something like "with HLE BIOS you can launch it and listen to audio with black screen" are often likely to work if the videos are removed.

For example Nightmare Creatures 2 works if you delete the .str files with Ultraiso. Jackie Chan Stuntmaster also works if you replace the videos with PSX-MODE.

I will ask if anyone has wiiflow covers for the WiiSX RX? I was also looking at www.gametdb.com and the mute cover is just what I attached but wiiflow does not show it, so it's not it?

@niuus

Hey, would it be possible to share the build that has Ape Escape running?

I can help out if need be. I seem to recall you saying something about an SD card — I can send you a fresh SanDisk one if that would help, just let me know.
i think @niuus will bring this new compatibility fix in upcoming WiiSX RX v2.6. (i hope so :) )

You're one of the few that have actually offered some help instead of just requesting updates and asking release dates. Cool, i'll take your offer, send me a PM to see what we can work out. You would have exclusive access to the build before it's public as a way of saying thanks.

is there a way to enable vsync in the current 2.5 version ?
By adding it to the source code. WiiSX Silver previously did this, sadly the source was never shared and probably will never be.

There are 700KB STR files that you can use to save even more space. Or at least that's the way I prefer to do it. After all, if you're going to make a "slim" copy, better do it with all the benefits. :D

Thanks, I just removed FF IX's FMVs with PSX-MODE2, I'll test it later. :yaywii:
If you've read my previous posts, you can confirm it works beautifully when you do that.

Check the compatibility list for it. Unfortunately it's not supported.
Actually... B-)

This is correct.

By the way, is there any interest on a one-off special version of WiiSXRX with the multiplayer tap support? For now, the support is limited and not configurable (along some bugs), so it would have to a be a separate build. The code was made 2 years ago, you can even see a mini compatibility list that I did on said Github fork, which I discovered some months ago was also commented by @SaulFabre promising some kind of review on the code?

Anyway, here's the list for preservation purposes:

- Bomberman - Party Edition (NOT working)
- Bomberman World (NOT working)
- Crash Bash (Working)
- NBA Jam - Tournament Edition (Working)
- NBA Jam Extreme (Working)
- Rampage - Through Time (NOT working)
- Rampage 2 - Universal Tour (NOT working)
- Twisted Metal 4 (NOT working)
- Twisted Metal III (NOT working)

Those not working have all inputs disabled in game, until there's only 2 active/plugged controllers on the console, which means it also affects single/two player games if there are more than 2 pads at any moment.
