Hi at all (especially @Cyan ),
After over 2 years I finally booted my vWii again yesterday to satisfy my wife with her beloved karaoke games (mainly those from the SingItStar project) but for the life of me I wasted over two hours without success. I couldn't get the microphones to be detected by the games.
I use two original Logitech mics and I'm pretty sure they worked in the past but can't remember the exact settings.
Since the HDD with the Wii games has to be in the upper USB port of the backside I tried this:
- mics in the front ports
- mics in the original 4 port WeSing USB hub in the bottom back port
- mics along the Wii HDD in an active USB hub in the upper back port

Also tried different IOS versions.
Also tried WiiFlow.
Everything threw me the same ingame popup telling me to connect the mics since they are not recognized.

Can someonr please tell me which cIOS to install into which IOS (with which tool) und which USB port combination to use?

Used latest USB Loader GX mod btw.

hello.
I don't have any microphone game to try myself, but I "suppose" this is what you need :

HDD, without HUB, in upper back port (usb port 0)
mic in port 1 (HUB should work, but I'm not sure. Try one mic without hub first)

cIOS d2x r52 with a base 56

Usually, music game require base57, but it seems the "sing it" games need base 56. At least the Disney sing it collections do, and High School Musical - Sing It! [RI2E4Q] too.
there is also a report that USBGX might freeze if you plug the mic in Port1 before launching a game, so first launch it, then plug them.

Here is a compatibility list for problematic games, which doesn't have the "sing it Star" games. Sing it and Just dance are in the unconfirmed chart.

I can only suggest to try both base56 and base57.
I don't know if these games have another official IOS (like 38?), you could try that base too. you'll have to install it in one of your unused slot (248 for example)

If you get the game working with the Mic, please tell us the setup (base, port, hub) and I'll add them to the confirmed chart.

Edit:
I changed the compatibility chart to add colors !
Now we can properly see which IOS base are NOT working.
I didn't like the chart with "tested with" ... it didn't tell if other bases were working or not. Too unclear to me.
I hope this way it'll be easier to know what IOS NOT to use.
