I would say this is the most user-friendly guide out there.Anyone got a link to the most up to date (and easy to follow) Switch/atmosphere set up? Helping a friend set up his unpatched model
Maybe NOGC (no gamecard) is activated on hekate. try to disable. warning, this could update your firmware if the game is fresh new. that's why is activated.hi all

its (Pokémon brilliant diamond) emummc and it loads i get the Nintendo switch screen when you launch a game then its a black screen constantly.
and in sysnand it says the software was closed because an error occurred.
ive google and tried to look everywhere for a answer but people have only been getting black screen when they load sysnand or emunand.
ive also updated the atmosphere and hekate to the latest versions with the latest sigpatches thats where my knowledge stops.
ive decided to stay on emuMMC but i turned off nogc but it still remains to stay black screen its weard i logged into another account and the game loaded up then i went back to my account and it didnt work then it didnt work on the other account o.O i also dumped the game onto my sdcard to see if that would work but no hopeMaybe NOGC (no gamecard) is activated on hekate. try to disable. warning, this could update your firmware if the game is fresh new. that's why is activated.

Yes.Hello everybody, question here. If I move a save file from Emu to Sys and the user is not the same, would that Edit the file in some way that raises red flags?
I know you said you don't want to use other title installers but I always recommend people to use TinWoo Installer and there are no complaints. Its simple and effective which is what everyone wants. I also personally use it so I can attest to its usefulness. To use USB install, you can pair it with NS-USBLoader which is a lightweight program written in Java so its cross-compatible with most OS.Hello everyone,
I'm on Tinfoil v13, and I was trying to use NUT for the first time to install a +4gb game via USB.
First I've tried with NUT's latest release, but I kept receiving an error for missing keys.txt. I've found a post where a fellow user solved this problem by using either version 2.6 or 2.7 of NUT.
With both 2.6 and 2.7 I avoid the keys.txt error message, but then I get stuck at "begin recv", and I don't understand why.
I've installed the drivers, and NUT does show my NSP files in the secondary window, but the usbfs window in Tinfoil stays empty. I suppose it's because I never reach the "read complete" step in the "squirrel window".
I know there are several USB installers floating around, but I would like to stick with Tinfoil if at all possible, as to avoid juggling several apps at once when using my Switch.
Thank you for your help![]()
Either get a second console or dump the update from sysMMC.Is there a way to put a game update into emuMMC without sigpatches? My game is legit, and the update is legit.
Well that is easy; all he does is send the new payload that he downloads from the Atmosphere page. How he sends the payload depends on what he uses if its his phone, Windows computer, Mac OS, Linux, etc.To help my friend: (i have a v1 switch)
-He just bought a v2 switch with modchip. Does not know how to update atmosphere, neither Do I. Well, atmosphere is easy, jut put in the sd card.
-BUT Atmosphere requires that you update payload too. For me, I put in my dongle, easy. In his case, i don't know how the payload works.
Personally, I would just switch to using TinWoo Installer. Its what I personally use and have never run into any issues.Reting to set up Tinfoil after booting into Atmosphere on a new unmatched Switch, have the most up to date NRO file of Tinfoil. Every time I go into album and select Tinfoil, an error message comes up saying "error has occurred, please try again later" along with an error code 2155-8007. On the home screen, the application box that should contain Tinfoil is just spinning and is empty.
Also, Home-brew shop isnt showing either. Any one else had this?
I tought v2 switchs used a different method, since it's not have payload injection while in rcm, because there's no exploit. So v2 switch can be completed turned off, when turned on, it will be ready for payload injection? Apparently, when the console turns on, it boot direct into atmosphere...Well that is easy; all he does is send the new payload that he downloads from the Atmosphere page. Whoops, I read V1 Switch and assumed it was his. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely familiar with how V2 consoles utilize payloads but there are guides on the subject. Here is an example of one that he can follow.I tought v2 switchs used a different method, since it's not have payload injection while in rcm, because there's no exploit. Well you can't use shops with TinWoo so you can keep it around just in case.I'll give Tinwoo a try, then.
Is Tinwoo supposed to replace Tinfoil completely, or should I keep the latter around?

https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-oled-teardown-v1-v2.600550/I saw this on reddit and I wanted to find out more what exactly is needed to mod an OLED switch.
Any help is appreciated.
