it there a way to keep my save data and delete everything on my sd?

If you're talking about 3DS games, you should back your saves up with Checkpoint (homebrew software),and you can restore them whenever you want.

No i can copy/paste everything on my sd except for the nintedo 3ds folder

That should give an error message either at the start if the file manager does a sanity check or during the copying once the drive on the PC is full.

You could simply check free space of a drive as well as the size of the "SD:/Nintendo 3DS" folder.

Trying another PC and/or SD reader is a good idea anyway.

You can just leave the Nintendo 3DS folder if you want to get rid of it, just format the drive, based on what you've said before. Again, you can backup your saves with Checkpoint first and copy/paste them somewhere.

the only thing I can think of to prevent pasting is possibly not having write privileges. don't know how that could happen on a pc unless you're in the user group and it doesn't have these privileges or wherever your pasting it doesn't have these privileges.

btw, the paste function would still work even if there's not enough space, it would just error saying that you need x number of GBs more of free space after it calculated the size of the folder. it shouldn't take too long, because there shouldn't be too many files in Nintendo 3DS, maybe at most 5,000 if not less depending on how much is installed.

thats strange cause i can copy some of the folders inside of Nintendo 3ds and i tried to rebuild the folder in my backup but there were too many folders

There is nothing more that can be done from our side. At least I cannot think of anything really new.

Try:

• Maybe data recovery software
• Ask somebody for help near you instead of the forum

If the SD is corrupted or for whatever reason does not allow reading the data you are probably out of luck – Leaves just expensive (!) professional data recovery with unknown result.

Seriously, sometimes one can get stumped over the simplest thing (I wouldn't dare to tell you my examples).
Just ask somebody to try it with you. Always reading the same replies to "copy that data" isn't gonna bring you any forward.

So did you try Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier yet? It will work under Windows 10, despite what the page says, and it's not like you have a lot of other options at this point. At the very least it will give you a more informative error message.

yea on Monday im going to try my fathers pc and see if that works

So my father's computer didnt work either, but I studied the 1st page of this forum and @TurdPooCharger said that the files title.db and import.db were the corrupted files.
So if they are corrupted, why cant i just delete them?

I can't imagine how your "studies" led you to that question.

Those are important system files and even if they are corrupted, you will have to rebuild them afterwards. This process is considerably more complicated than copying files off of an SD card.

Had you made sure of your pc signin is running as a admin or making sure to run in admin mode?

People lose SD cards one way or another all the time. You would need to get a new SD card and follow http://3ds.guide/restoring-updating-cfw .

If there is nothing else of value in your 3DS, you would also do a System Format. This does not remove CFW.
