Ok, so I was injecting the latest hekate into switch with Tegra and the games wouldn't load, if I use my previous version of hekate (I think it's 5.0.0 or something) the games work).

Still get issues opening album or holding R with game, and I've removed tinfoil as part of trying to fix stuff so I can't add any new games. Can anyone advise on how to get the album up and running again please!!
It might be an issue with the patches. Download the latest patches from this thread.

I've already added them thanks. Any other ideas?

Hi! I've been looking to install super mario 64 on me newly hacked switch. I've searched for a better tutorial than the one I found on the game's Github / sm64ex.
but daaamn I'm dumb.

So I'm wondering if anybody could help me out with this, either via talking on discord or just sending over a link to some kind of tutorial that is easier!

Thanks!

Why cant Oled and V2 run android, ubuntu etc even with chip?
Because Android and Ubuntu need to be updated first to support the Mariko consoles.

Do you have hbmenu.nro on the root of your SD card?
Use the patches from this thread instead.
Which resource is better to follow, nh-server.github.io or switch.homebrew.guide ?
Thanks
https://switch.homebrew.guide/ is by far the better guide, hands down.

Well that depends on which version of Super Mario 64 you want to install. Its available in the 35th Anniversary collection as well as in the expanded NSO service. There is also a decompiled version that was ported to the console.

Well which one would you recommend? which is the smoothest?
im down for anything tho as long as i get help installing it. i heard the one you buy from nintendo wasn't that optimised compared to what you can get from hacking your switch and downloading the open source version!

I deleted all of the "tickets" in Tinfoil to see if it would make Smash Bros work but no joy, then other games wouldn't work but luckily they didn't have as much DLC and updates.

Tested this with Metroid by reinstalling the only update I had ever done.

My question is, what's the easiest way of getting all the tickets back in Tinfoil, Smash Bros has so much DLC I think it's going to be impossible to get it all working again

Hej, I think its time to switch from sxos to atmosphere. i think i can manage with all the instructions on how to install it but i have some questions first.
1) i have a 100% clean sysnand in which i play online and an emunand with sxos for offline gaming. can i keep it that way? i read some people use atmosphere in sysnand, is there a reason why?
2) i did burn fuses every time i updated before. does this change anything with usage of atmosphere? i didnt encounter problems with that yet
3) atmosphere can install xci right?
4) whats the best tutorial out there for installing atmosphere? i dont need to use my old emunand as i know how to transfer savegames and thats all i would need...

thank you for the help!

I have a concerning issue.
In my hekate, I have the usual 3 boot CFW.
Stock / CFW - SysNAND / CFW - EmuNAND

When I install a theme on the EmuNAND, it reflects it to the SysNAND.
Since my SysNAND is clean only use execute and download homebrew, I am worried that it will be "dirty".

Hello
I am completely stuck at the moment...
Had switch with tinfoil year ago, didn't use it for about half year.
Now had an update and all broke down. Got new SD card, formatted as FAT32.
Went through all this setup: switch homebrew guide for newbies (worked fine for me the first time I did it and now too) SDSetup as the recommended one
can launch from emu.
Previously used dongle to upload - now only through usb cable to pc (but that is not a problem)
The problem is - how do I even get any games on the switch now - downloaded tinfoil 13 self installer. copied in the sd card - launched through album, it asked for update and after that I have interesting error messages. Now I am reinstalling emummc in partition and try to do it again?
how do I get tinfoil now? any other programs?
11.0.1 is the switch version. AMS 1.1.1 E once from the SD card - so homebrew installs fine - it is just that tinfoil? I cannot figure out what and where with those sigpatches and anything else I am missing?
Should I just do the factory reset first?
Updated the firmware to 13. and now I have Failed to apply emummc and Failed to Launch HOS. Had these messages before too, when trying to launch from emummc, this is where I am stuck too...

Well you can't go online without being on the latest firmware so there is no workaround for that. And if you don't care about being banned, then you can just update online.

It might be an issue with the patches. Download the latest patches from this thread.

Daybreak comes bundled with Atmosphere automatically so it should be with the latest Atmosphere. Otherwise, what is the error code? And how are you launching the homebrew applications?
I downloaded the nro from a quadpack and just transferred and worked, it was same version as the one had but this one worked and in the HB menu the icon is correct

I recently updated my hekate and atmosphere and now it crashes when trying to launch a game. I receive the error

panic occured while running atmosphere, title ID: 010041544D530000

I have run the bit archive that does nothing. My sd card is fat32. Attached is my crash error. Any idea what's going on?

Just if anyone else is able to help me with this, I've been going through and reinstalling the latest game updates including any DLC and it's worked on ones which weren't working.

With Smash Bros as it has 99 DLC and I had a few legit purchased DLC before I hacked my switch I'm running into dead ends on if anything is missing or what is causing it to break.

Guess the question is... is there a way of removing everything associated with the game from my console and memory card so I could start from scratch?

Any ideas to get it working would be appreciated as it's probably my fave game!

I have a problem with the actual versions of Atmos 1.2.1 / Hekate 5.6.5 / Nyx 1.1.1 but it's happening when I want to boot games. A Panic Occurred Error.

I used AIO Switch Updater to update those and I believe that I made a mistake because it started to give that Panic Occurred error happen after I did that.

I ran the Archive Bit fix, but it fixed 0 unset and 0 set.

I found out the problem, the new Atmosphere version is not compatible with the Skyline plugin that was around ARCropolis.

Also, the new sigpatches got barely released yesterday. So check it out.

Here's the answer my guy. I got ignored pretty hard. so take this.

so just install the previous atmosphere?
I just found the ARCropolis GitHub thingy and mentioned that the Skyline Plugin stopped supporting those new ATMOS versions, so here's the link to update that without downgrading ATMOS. https://cutt.ly/MRJUXvz

Assuming if your Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is crashing.
And if you don't have downloaded the new sigpatches.

it says that update link is no longer there. thank you tho for helping me.

I don't have any experience with any of them; just their existence. They all are available the same way in the form of a .NSP file which you install with any title manager. The one I always recommend to users is TinWoo Installer. And assuming you're using Atmosphere, you also need patches to launch & install backups which you can find in this thread.

  1. I don't know why people use Atmosphere on sysMMC especially since Atmosphere supports emuMMC. You can totally keep your setup the same way with Atmosphere
  2. Fuses only affect downgrades so if you never plan on downgrading, fuses are irrelevant. By the way, the only reason one would downgrade is if there is a better exploit on lower firmware versions such as untethered coldboot
  3. Yes
  4. This is the guide I always recommend to users on how to setup Atmosphere

Are you sure you setup emuMMC? When you boot emuMMC, does it have the "E" under System Settings?

I highly recommend switching to TinWoo Installer instead. It is what I personally use and have never run into issues.

Disable any sysmodules you may have enabled.

Uninstalling the game should be sufficient.
