Hi guys after weeks of frustration, after attempting to update atmosphere and fw, I finally managed to get it all working mainly thanks to this video:

I deleted everything from my sd card except the nintendo folder and followed instructions from the video, I downloaded firmware 13.0 from the AIO updater and all is well, hope this helps others struggling I know how frustrating it is.

Was looking for some help, my sd card is now full and was looking to buy another:
1) What is the maximum size sd card I can use?
2) Is it a case of just copying the contents of my current sd card (minus the games) to the new sd card?
3) Where do I find the games stored on the sd card? I’m assumimg they are somewhere within the Nintendo folder as that was the only one I didn’t delete and my games were still on there.
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance
Marc

I wanted to update my switch firmware to the latest 13.0 and I copied the latest atmosphere files on sd card as well the firmware 13.0 files but now when I run that choiNX Software it crashs and gives me error. I was on the previous latest atmosphere, any help what I'm doing wrong

Update via Daybreak and not choiNX

ChoidujourNX is outdated, use Atmosphere daybreak if you want to update firmware.

So I made a new emuMMC to make use of some new firmware features, but I'm also getting nagged about Nintendo Switch Online Cloud Saves every time I start a game, is there any way to disable this nag? Any homebrew apps that can do it for me?
I've tried entering the Cloud Saves menu via settings, but I can't access it without paying for online -- which I won't, I don't play any Switch games online.

Edit: I'd rather not unlink my user, but... if that's the only way then I guess I will :P

Edit 2: I used Linkalho to unlink my Nintendo account from the emuMMC partition, and everything is ok now :)

I have my switch updated successful to v13 firmware with the latest version of atmosphere and everything works fine: except for Metroid Dread! Here is the error I get:

2OkVyKK.png

My SD card was formatted and I'm using files from SDSetup.com along with hekate sigpatches from itotaljustice. My understanding is that these are the right sigpatches for me to be using, not the fusee sigpatches. Thanks for any help!

edit: after investigation, this fixed it! Had to add one line to a hekate config file:

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the latest update to work with Atmosphere is? Currently running 11.0.0 with AMS 0.19.3|S

What's the latest update and atmosphere I can switch to? I've found a github of sigpatches for various Atmosphere versions HERE, so I'm guessing I can just download the sigpatches for the downloaded Atmosphere version?

Any help appreciated!

EDIT: Looks like I want to update to 12.1.0 at the moment, I've managed to get a hold of those files but should I update Atmosphere to 1.0.0 before updating firmware through Daybreak? Again, info appreciated!

The version to update to now (which is supported in Atmosphere) is 13. What I did was update the firmware with Daybreak and then update the SD card with the latest version of hekate and atmosphere, and then added sigpatches.

I just updated Atmosphere before updating the firmware to 13.0.0 and when injecting the payload I now get a 'Fatal Error has occurred' message. Oops, I wonder what that's about...

Now, even when putting the old SD Files back onto the SD Card the switch just lights up a blank screen with no messages etc when injecting fusee primary... CAN boot into Hekate. I'm wondering what the hell I've done now, panicking a little. Any advice?

So I am on version 11 with SXPRO and I wanted to play metroid dread. Is there a guide to go to ver 13 and ready to load xci files? I don't need anything else. I don't care about online services or getting banned as this switch is solely to play offline games. Thanks.

tl; dr:
- old, vulnerable, non-patched, fully stock Switch
- stopped working around July
- pressing Power -> Nintendo Logo -> black screen, Backlight off
- probably on 12.0.3, last thing I did was play online on June 13 with up to date firmware

- followed https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/
- Hekate and other payloads work perfectly fine
- launching HOS doesn't work
- RCM -> Hekate -> Launch -> Atmosphere FSS0 EmuMMC -> Atmosphere Logo -> Black screen ->
Code:
Panic occured while running Atmosphere.

Title ID: 010000000000002B
Error:    std::abort (0xFE)
[report attached]

Hi all, so the last time I played on my Switch was June 13. After that I didn't use it until about end of July or August, or so. That's when I noticed, it won't start anymore.
My warranty is long gone, so I thought maybe installing cfw would give me a better insight to what's going on there. And it did. I got an error report. Unfortunately, the only solutions I found recommended reinstalling Atmosphere, I thought that there was no point in doing that, since I just installed a fresh new version, but tried that anyway. Needless to say: It didn't work.
Does someone know what to do in a case like this?
I was in the same situation and decided to use Atmosphere and Hekate previous versions and now it's working again.

Downloaded a fresh Atmosphere 0.19.3 and putting the Sept files on the card worked, must have been a minor copy error or something.

Updated sys firmware to 13.0.0 using daybreak, reboot to see a fatal error that package1 could not be read, updated to AMS 1.1.0 and updated fusee.bin (as atmosphere 1.1.0 won't work with the old fusee primary anymore) and hey presto, everything works.

Alright, that worked. Thanks a lot.

Another question: Since I need a title I can launch to open hbmenu via takeover, I'd need to log into my Nintendo account so I can access the eShop to download and execute something.
How would I do that? Isn't logging in and accessing the eShop a bad thing to do on emummc with cfw? And just downloading, let's say YouTube on sysmmc won't magically make it appear on emummc or will it? And even if it did, wouldn't I still need to log in to execute it?
You don't have any cartridges? If not, were there any titles that were installed to sysMMC before you created emuMMC? emuMMC is a copy of sysMMC so if there was at least one title installed to sysMMC, it should have been carried to emuMMC. If you want to download it after making emuMMC, it won't magically appear in sysMMC but you don't need to log in for to work.

1. The maximum size SD card the Switch supports is 2 TB
2. Yes
3. Any games installed to the SD card are stored in the Nintendo folder. Games installed to internal memory are stored in the internal memory.

SX OS does not support firmware 13.0. You will have to switch to using Atmosphere

Hey guys,

Im having trouble launching atmosphere - after sept/atmosphere screen, I get "error while loading fss0: atmosphere/fusee-secondary.bin wrong ini cfg or missing files! failed to launch HOS! I was on firmware 8.0.1, which worked fine, then uploaded cfw 11.0.1 in an attempt to play Metroid Dread.

Was unable to "launch" atmosphere and play any games, sending me back to the "launch" / "more configs" / "payloads" interface. I adeded hekate 5.5.5 and atmostphere 1.1.1 to my sd root in an attempt to upgrade but got the error message above.

any advise would be most appreciated!

Well, I do have cartridges, but I don't want to always keep one of them in my old Switch, so I can use homebrew. Besides, launching a game from a cartridge is always prompting me to update, which is a bit annoying.
There weren't any titles installed, since I had to completely reset everything. I followed the guide by EmmcHaccGens author https://suchmememanyskill.github.io/guides/unbrick/ and my switch would only boot up again after wiping system and therefore deleting all titles.

So you're saying, the solution is to login on sysmmc, download a title, log out, recreate emummc and the title will still be executable? I thought you need the account that downloaded the title to execute it, even if it's free.

Oh right, I forgot you did that. Well I just realized there was actually a simpler way to get a title installed in your emuMMC; simply use any homebrew title manager to install any .NSP file. While title override is the preferred method of launching nowadays, many title managers were designed to launch with the regular homebrew menu via the Album applet so you could use any title manager to install any .NSP file you want to have a game that you can title override. The solution I suggested is still doable because when emuMMC is initially created, its just a copy of sysMMC which includes the tickets needed to launch all installed titles on sysMMC, it seems more laborious than my new suggestion.

Isn't installing NSPs something that could get me banned? Downloading YouTube on sysMMC and creating a new emuMMC seems like a cleaner option.
Also, do you have a recommended title manager? Yesterday I looked into that and... oh boy. Looks like the discussions around them are really toxic :/

Code:
nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/user_guide/getting_started/
Used the nh-server getting started guide on a stock Switch V1 9.0.1 OFW. Now running latest Atmosphere (emuMMC) and Hekate. But for the life of me, I CAN'T get Tinfoil, Goldleaf, AwooInstaller or any of their forks to successfully install xci or nsp. Should I upgrade anything? I don't mind wiping SD and starting from scratch.

I updated from 11.0.0 on sxos to 13.0.0 on atmosphere. The problem I am having is that now Retroarch, Sonic CD, Quake 2, and Quake 3 no longer run. When I start them it says, "The software was closed because an error occurred." Every other game and homebrew app works perfectly fine. I've tried lots of things, but to no avail. I'm sure it's something simple, but after a day and a half searching that solution eludes me. If anyone can offer any help it would be appreciated, thanks.
