Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with a PS5 EDM-010. It powers on and shows BLOD for 2 seconds. On UART I get the following error: 80800024. Under the microscope I don’t see any cracks on the die, and the PCB doesn’t appear to be bent on any side.
The very strange thing is that as soon as I connect the PS5 to mains power, it turns on by itself without pressing any button, then I get BLOD for 2 seconds. On the next button press, nothing happens; after waiting about 30 seconds, it shows BLOD for 2 seconds again.
When I connect a bench power supply, I get the correct power-up sequence (07MHA 308), but then something odd happens: for about 2 seconds it powers on by itself without pressing any button, enables all voltages across the APU (including the APU rails), and then shuts down.
What would you recommend I do next? The spontaneous power-on without pressing any button is very strange — could this be a BIOS issue?
In any case, I have replacement parts for the entire board, so any information or suggestions are very welcome.
