You probably can with any language :) the disadvantage is that this editor is strictly Windows-only because it's a .NET 5 desktop app. I thought it was possible to run on Mac for example using Mono but it was confirmed to me that it does not run.

On the other hand, datamining allows you to have readily information taken directly from the game such as item IDs, sprites, names, instead of adding them by hand.
I wish I had the time to document it more :P
When I have the time, I can try to decompile P5S and send you the assets. (I own the game)
Yeah, I did with Python which I never used to do GUI so that was hard for me :rofl2:
Then they have multiple saves which I did each of them. I didn't datamining, but I got the Offsets/IDs from SaveWizard Discord & I did rest of the saves.

Hi, I need some help, after editing the money in NEO TWEWY I'm unable to buy clothes in-game, is there anything I can do about it? It buys them, subtracts the money but it doesn't add them to the inventory.

From my experience, the game breaks the item menues when you have more than what you can have at the moment.
For example, if you have x9 of the clothing and suddenly decide to add a 10th one (which the editor won't allow you to do, by the way), it will show on the menu, but nothing will happen if you try to equip it or even sell it.

Something similar must be happening here. Do you have that clothing item in your inventory already? Or perhaps you added more money than you can have at the moment? (99,999 yen before buying the necessary social network skill)

Something else I'm thinking of is that the shop has a default stock of "x" amounts of that clothing piece. When you already have that stock in your inventory, it will be shown with a checkmark (✓) and won't allow to buy it. But apparently if you have more than this stock, it will still show it as purchasable, but nothing will happen if you try buying it. This seems to be normal (?) behavior and you should ignore it, as you already have the item.
Save editing is never perfect and clean, sadly.

Let me know if any of this is helpful to you :)

Any chance of expanding this editor so that it works on the original DS version of the 1st game?
I don't think so. You can get basically everything with cheat codes (action replay, etc.)
And (correct me if I'm wrong about this) the DS save file doesn't seem to have a checksum, so you can go ahead and edit as you like with a hex editor.

I might change my mind but I'm extremely busy with uni at this time >< someone else could work on it too; the source is open.

I didn't have them in my inventory, I pretty much cheated only money and kept it at 99999 since I was early in the game, but I did cheat the yen pins to sell them in game, perhaps that made the money value go over 99999 and glitched something out, anyway I ended up giving myself all clothing since a mission required me to wear a whole set of clothes from a brand.

(Final Remix)
It's slowly coming together... °_°

I honestly will let you guys put whatever you want in level/experience as I could never find the data for it, and the game won't crash or act weird like in NEO.
(Experience and PP are the same thing by the way)

Hey everyone!
I'm still working on this (pinky promise) :P

There are a lot of big changes coming in the next release, but first I want you to take a look at what I've been working on:
gjLkr24.png

Trophy editor! Hooray. It's basically done but the wall recreation is still in a somewhat early phase. Rotation and overlapping graffiti are not showing yet, but I'll work on it.

In other news, marking pins as mastered is finally coming:

This is another one big release so stay tuned~

Happy to announce I perfectioned the graffiti editor a lot. I had fun doing this.

I even added an export as PNG feature.
You will get a result like this. There might be 1 to 3 pixels off (X/Y wise), but it's the best I can do at this moment. I'd say it's incredibly accurate.

There are still some things I need to tweak, but I'll possibly push the version tomorrow!
So stay tuned. I head to sleep now :)

Amazing stuff as usual dude, this community of fans here is getting spoiled with your efforts. Makes me think, what otehr games do you play ? xd

Diablo 2 coming for switch, there could be a market there for sure for a sexy updated editor

Thanks for the kind comments. Both TWEWY and NEO are two of my favourite games ever :)
I will say that I don't think I will make more save editors after this one, at least not in the near future.

I do hope that if I ever stop developing Scramble because I'm either busy or consider it finished, hopefully someone can pick it up and improve it. I'm still a newbie at what I do after all :P

The new version is out!
https://github.com/supremetakoyaki/Scramble/releases/tag/v0.9

The biggest change is that .NET 5.0 Runtime is no longer needed.
I made a step backwards (or forward?) because there were some issues. Target framework is now .NET Framework 4.8. If you have an updated Windows 10 or 11, you don't need to install anything :)
What's more, this means Linux/Mac users will be able to run the editor by using Mono. (I have never used Mono though, but I know it's possible . . . )

And now... the graffiti editor, which includes layer orders (0 means topmost) and exporting the entire wall to a 100% scale .PNG!

The next major version (v1.0) will mark the completion of the NEO:TWEWY save editor, with only TWEWY:Final Remix remaining.
It's been quite the journey. Thank you for your continued support :)

I tried to run the program on my MacBook. Sadly, it doesn't work :rofl2:

I probably try to look more into the game and make it in Python, it won't be OP like yours lol

I edited the main thread so the colours can look nice with the new dark theme.

Following the PC game release, I will be actively checking for any differences. In case it's necessary, I'll do my best to work in a PS4/Switch save file <-> PC save file converter, but let's hope they stay the same.

Hey everyone. Upon request of someone who DM'd me a few weeks ago, I'm making a randomizer for NEO:TWEWY, which will be embedded in the next release.

It's still somehow experimental but any suggestions are welcome.
Here's a look at it :)

Sorry for triple post heh.

If anyone bought the PC version and wants to donate their save files for research, that'd be super :)
I already anticipated key differences like graphics settings and the like, so a converter will be on the way even if the save structure remains the same.
