You have to use the SX Core modchip which requires not only soldering but a place that sells them. Due to the recent arrests, finding an SX Core has become increasingly difficult. Not to mention that TX has not released an update for their CFW for quite some time now.

You can try to find a Un-patched model new or used, ebay, craigslist, etc but even that has been hard to find now days. Good luck and have fun!

Connecting it to the Internet isn't going to affect how you hack it especially if the firmware is above 4.1

my sd slot is dead,,,,,,,it reads my sd....then it ejects it (i have a modcip with fusee gelee where it shows if ur sd is connected)...so i opened it...and looked...after a while it shows its disconnected..but if i push the connectors down lightly it shows the sd as connected...if i let it be same crap happens...i dont know what to do

But the guide you link to also seems good.

Regarding the SD card. 32 GB will be used for emuMMC so I recommend at least 128 GB. Then you have space for several games, a backup, homebrew and more.

question...if I do a system transfer to another switch that does not have CFW, would that affect the emuMMC? I'm thinking of getting another switch to play online + my legit games while the old switch be used for hacking and I wanted to keep the same SD card on it.

Is there an homebrew app that allows me to reboot the switch (into cfw) without having to undock it/ use the power button?
I remember kosmos had something like that, but the atmosphere package i got seems to not give me that option

I don't see how it would. Even the sysMMC on the original console does not affect emuMMC.

So I know that these were created during the early days of the scene but I don't know how well they stood the test of time. After doing some digging, it appears none, if any, has been updated since their initial releases which date back to almost 3 years ago. That being said, it might be for good reason as I also noticed these types of apps had notorious issues for causing corruption especially if your SD card was formatted as exFAT. So given all of that information, getting up to reboot the console may not seem that bad given the alternatives if they even still work.

I use Kosmos Toolbox with no problems at all, lets you reboot to Hekate main menu. I also use this when I want to swap out sd cards from Hekate main menu. I'm on CFW 11.0.1 AMS 18 FAT32. You can find it here : Good luck and have fun!

Probably a stupid question, but i am using the 1 hit ko cheat to have a easy Zygarde kill in the dynamax adventure raids (since i cant solo it), i have done over 140 runs now and havent encountered a single shiny (i catch all 4 pokemon each time). Am i just really unlucky? Or does /canthis code interfere the the shiny odds?

But the firmware is at 10.0.3 and the seller said it was purchased midway through 2019. Using the switch guide, said only consoles purchased before July of 2018 can installed CFW regards of their firmware. Is it possible with this Switch to install CFW? Or should I not buy it?

I think you mis-read that. Only models produced before July 2018. It may have sat in store for months/ a year before being actually purchased.

First of all, do not use any websites to confirm serial numbers. While you do use the serial number to confirm if it is unpatched or not, the websites are usually outdated. Only ever use the stickied thread found in this forum as a point of reference when it comes to serial numbers. After you have double checked with that thread and you still have doubts about the console, whatever guide you read is either lying to you or you misinterpreted the statement about July 2018. Patched consoles were only first witnessed after July 2018 but unpatched consoles were still in circulation. Therefore it is still possible to buy an unpatched console after July 2018.
