If my switch is unpatched but on fw 10.1, is it hackable??
Hence the word "unpatched". If it's unpatched, yes. Then it is hackable. Fusée Gelée doesn't care about the firmware version ;)

Can i use fusee gelee to hack??
We don't know. Read the first post and check your serialnumber. Or check it here.

The first post mentions serials beyond, XAW10075..... are possibly patched but when i check on the website the switch version xaw1007637... is mentioned as unpatched. Which one to believe. Please let me know because i wouldn't be able to return the said Switch.

I would trust this thread more than the other site, but it's really up to you to believe or not the results from both sites. If you like to gamble, go ahead and buy it. Possibly patched means there's a 50/50 chance. You might get lucky! You'll never find out if you don't try. If you hate to gamble, keep looking for an older serial number. You can also consider a modchip nowadays, remember.

If you have two different opinions, like unpatched vs. possible patched, always go with the more negativ one. The reason for this is because of the way we have determined the bounds: If a patched Switch was found that was categorised as unpatched before, the new bound is the serial number of the newly found Switch. So bounds can only go lower with new informations, not higher.

One question, like my last one but a bit modified:
Does that my serial, which is XAJ40035521XXX, is closer to 4.0.1 than 4.1.0 necessarily mean that my initial firmware is 4.0.1?
The boundaries are: for 4.0.1 up to XAJ400372 and for 4.0.1 starting with XAJ400344. As you can see, my serial is closer to XAJ400344.
On the top of that, two people who posted in this forum said to us that their serials are XAJ400358 and XAJ400361 and both having firmware 4.0.1

Base on what you have provided you have an unpatched unit, possible firmware is 4.0.1 out of the box but we can't tell if it would be higher firmware, you have to check the unit. Since it is unpatched you don't have to worry about the firmware and just use the rcm method.

You are right. However, there is a bit of diffetence; 4.1.0 is a very big update and I think some ways to hack it might not be avaible in this firmware. You can corroborate this becase Nintendo always makes patches of some or another mistake in the security of the system via software albeit they don't announce them specifically. They only say: «we fix some issues to improve user's experience».

4.1.0 is fully hackable on any system, as long as it has never connected to the internet.

Firmware doesn't matter on unpatched consoles.
And 4.1.0 was far from being a big update and it didn't really do anything special.

If I have two consoles whose serials are: XAJ40035521XXX and XAJ70032612XXX, which of the consoles were manufactured first?
Dude...again. We can't say anything about the manufacturing date. Why do you want to know that? Just send a payload. If the screen stays black, it is patched. If not, you have an unpatched unit. God damn.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.
