Hello!

I installed an SX Core on my switch (mariko unit running 10.1.0) the other day and have done the following steps:

  • Backed up sysNAND
  • Set up emuNAND
  • Backed up keys
(I've installed some backup .nsp files and .xci files to the sd card and some homebrow .nro just to try it out after doing these steps)

However, I'd like to use the official firmware to go online and use the multiplayer function with my legitimately purchased games.

Is there anything I should do before doing so? I find it a bit confusing if I should leave emuNAND enabled when booting into OFW to play online. Will it use the sysNAND automatically if I choose to boot into OFW with emuNAND enabled?

There's also an option called genuine boot that I'm not sure if I should use instead (I read something that it doesn't protect from blowing e-fuses if you do that, but since I'm already on the newest FW and newest switch I'm not sure if it matters.)

Thanks in advance!

It should automatically use sysNAND AFAIK. I suggest using a different theme on emuNAND, change the profile icons/names etc. to tell apart sys and emu easily.
I'm not familiar with genuine boot, but in theory it should be safer to use online.
With SX Core/SX Lite you have no true stock since they make modifications to the sysNAND, I'm not sure how easily that could be detected though.

Hello, after some time has passed for this questions, I wanted to know if there are new answers.

1: Will it use the sysNAND automatically if I choose to boot into OFW with emuNAND enabled?
2: What is the difference between genuine boot and OFW boot?
3: Just by installing sxcore, does the sysnand is modified?

if you have emunand enabled, it will boot to emunand and not sysnand.
Genuine boot is booting to actual sysnand with no sort of patches and other stuff from sxos (be sure to choose clean up option before choosing gewnuine boot or you're in for some trouble)
by installing the core/lite, upon booting it basically "corrupts" the boot0/boot1 partitions and places its own for its bootloader. thats why the cleanup option is needed before choosing genuine boot.
