Hacking N3DSXL - How to finalize cfw (run HB Launcher) with broken Home button?

Hey guys, I've got a N3DSXL - It was a kiosk, I fix a lot of units but this one I accidentally melted the pad for the home button,
so I was just gonna keep it for personal use~ I don't mind just powering off/rebooting to exit a game..) OK so only prob IS --

Trying to finalize the tail end of CFW installation~
Home button doesn't work so I can't close and re-launch an app (such as Download Play) w/out the Home button, in order to run
the Homebrew Launcher and install FBI etc.. to the home screen

When I hold L+down+select and tell it to launch HBL next time- but instead I'm forced to restart the console so it "forgets" the prior command to
run HBL instead of DL Play...
I've done cfw this way SO many times, I don't know any other way?! The one time I feel that I NEED the damn home button LoL~!
Am I just screwed on this (main) N3DSXL board or is there another way? I've searched this a good bit but haven't found a like circumstance ~ Thanks!

Should not be a huge problem:

1. Normal Rosalina Injection HB Launcher into Download Play
2. Save settings in Rosalina menu
   
3. turn off → turn on → Start Download Play

That's the problem- Im forced to turn off and then back on- so when I open the download play app again---- it just opens download play again, and not Homebrew Launcher... it "forgets" what I told it to do prior to restarting~ (i.e. Misc. optiions> switch the hb. title to hblauncher_loader>then forced to reboot and it forgets so an endless cycle)

Did you do Step #2 "Save settings" in the Rosalina Menu?

It worked for me. But I will try again.

Yep. Works for me. After using "Save settings" followed by a reboot opening Download Play start HB Launcher.
