OP
After hm7 cancelled his project to port the translation of Danganronpa 2 from the vita version to
the psp version, I decided that i would try to finish the port and after 7 months I finally have a
version thats its playable from start to finish. There are still bugs in the game and I trying to
find a fix (if you know how to fix the bugs, please leve a comment or pm me) but its possible to
complete the game if you do the right steps. The posts bellow explain some of the bugs, things
that I have fixed, show what is translated and things that I plan to do.

Donload links:
- v0.5a: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CyNsv8YLRXbQiHELeI2WSkJX3bwb2S3y/view?usp=sharing

Changelog:
-v0.5a:
- Fixed black screen in the first class trial.
- Fixed transparency in icons when loading the game in real hardware

- v0.5:
- Initial Release.

Credits:
- hm7 (system font used to show the character names)
- Project Zetsubou (The Super Duper Editor 2)
- Liquid-S(Danganronpa Another Tools / DRAT)

Please note that this is a beta so a lot of bugs might happen.
I dont speak english very well, so sorry if I mistake something or write something wrong.

I'm sorry man. Your homepage includes a pirated iso. And sharing pirated content is against the rules.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I'll also be testing it on real hardware. (not really real hardware, but the Vita has a perfect PSP emulator built-in that even runs PSP firmware, so yeah.)

Maybe only offer an xdelta patch to apply to a clean iso, otherwise you currently link to copyrighted material which is despite your work on it still piracy.

Bugs:
- Sometimes the UI will disapear, to fix this, just save the game, go to main menu and load the game again.

- Avoid saving inside places (like Hajime's cottage) or use more than one save file. Sometimes the game will softlock, and if you do this, you won't be able to continue the story. By using another save files you might be able to go back a little in the story and skip this bug.

- The transcript doesn't work or text is broken. This is because the game doesn't have a patch to
bypass the 28 character limit in this function of the game.

- Text is displayed weird in the bonus "Danganronpa IF", this is because the gmae doesn't have a
patch to bypass the 26 character limitation. But if you don't mind mind this, the text still almost
readble.

- There's a bug when the game ask you to select an dialogue option, sometimes the text will be
displayed weird, I think this is because the game whatsn't made to support a lot of characters
when displaying an option and because of that the game is not clearing the memory properly so it
reads chunk data from previous dialogue or options and mixes it with the actual text. This bug
happened in the first game too, but Project Zetsubou fixed it by modifying the quantity of memory
that the game clean.

- There's a "bug" when you begin a class trial. When you init a class trial, the game show a text
saying "TRIAL", int the translated versions (PC, VITA, and PS4) the text is show in horizontally but
in the PSP version this text is showed vertically, I think this is because the japanese text has to be
showed that way to it make sense (I don't speak japanese, so correct me if I'm wrong). A solution to
this problem would be change the text to other thing, but I can't find a better suitable text to this
(if you have a sugestion, please comment or pm me).

- During the chapter 2 there's a minigame called twilight syndrome, in the original version you have
to play this in order to understand a part of the story so however when trying to port the script
from the vita version I found that the Project Zetsubou didn't patched this minigame, so the texts
was still limited to only 21 characters per line with limit of two lines that the game can show. If you
ignore this limit the minigame will freeze and will be impossible to complete. In order to pass this
part I rewrite the dialogue so it would still be understandable and respecting the game limits. I don't
speak english very well so sometimes the text may sound a lot stranger (it's hard to compress 100
character frases in only 42 character, a lot has to be cut to this be possible), but I think the text
still understandble and this minigame doesn't influence so much in the class trial.

- During chapter 4 there's a escape room minigame, in this part sometime a notebook will prompt you to
put a password, however even if you put the correct password the game will tell you that it's wrong
so to pass this part you have to have 100 monocoins, then you just need to interact with the door
close to this notebook and the game will ask if you want to bypass this part by paying, select yes
and the story will continue.

- At the end of a PTA the game will ask you to press the button in the correct order to create
win this minigame, however, the X and O buttons are showed inverted, to pass this part simply press the
X button when the game shows O and vice versa. See the post with "things to be done" to understand more
about this bug.

- Sometimes the text dialogue will be showed glitched, this bug only happens in PPSSPP using frameskip
with values more than 1, this is due to the game loading more text that originally can and with the
frame skip the game doesn't have enough time to process correctly.

- Sometimes the screen will start to flick, this happens only in PPSSPP usin frameskip with values more
than one. To fix this doesn't use high frameskip values.

- The light will be super bright when the game changes nightime and when you are inside grape house. This
only happens in PPSSPP, to fix this simply change the render API to DirectX 11, OpenGL or Vulkan.

I posted the pre patched .iso in my blog but this is considered piracy and I want to do the things in the right way so i removed that link and posted a .xdelta patch file wich is the way you have to do to post patchs, I'm sorry about that and I promisse it won't happen again.

Rest assured my friend, the game is working on a real PSP, I did the testing and it is working well, although I have come up with an issue but since it may be related to my old savedata then I'll test more when I have the proper time.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii

At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
