SYSNAND-ONLY USERS: DO NOT BOOT GW MODE ON 11.3+ - YOU WILL LOSE B9S AND BE LEFT ON A STOCK FIRMWARE
I highly advise against the use of GW on SysNAND-Only Setups.
GW currently DOES NOT support firmwares 11.3//11.4 - B9S does not change that!
If you're on 11.3+ - Don't even try to use GW. Use Luma3DS or any other CFW that has confirmed support for 11.3+ firmwares.

I never had Gateway and can't really say anything specifically to that thing.

If booting Gateway mode on 11.3/11.4 on SysNAND leads to B9S being overwritten I don't see how this should be any better when using latest firmware and downgrading it partially to some Frankenfirm state. Frankenfirm has been needed for some versions (years!) now in order to get Gateway mode working.

To put it short: I don't see how that information should be "outdated af" – especially since the OP in this thread also only mentions EmuNAND.

Maybe somebody else does know better.

You use emunand so if you fuck anything up you don't brick/wipe your system or loose cfw (USE THE EMUNAND) you can just recreate the emunand, but you literally just make a gateway emunand (I used godmode9) boot into the emunand via luma, and run sysupdater install the downgrade, every system update you'll have to reinstall it , again only its 4 or 5 files not downgrading the whole firmware, then you can boot gateway using bootctr9 via luma chain loader

To put it short: I don't see how that information should be "outdated af" – especially since the OP in this thread also only mentions EmuNAND.

One this is the most effecient method, it works on latest fw, it provides over 95% boot rate, you only need bootctr9 and the firm to boot gateway, you also can switch between luma and gateway mode by simply going to system settings, (hold start when exiting for gateway, hold nothing and exit for luma), uses 2 files once you create and patch the emunand

It boots like this
Normal: b9s-luma-cfw
Gateway (start held): b9s-luma-bootctr9(arm9loader)-gateway

Get rid of the gateway card, and use luma.

Pokemon X is a card2 game, which means the save file is stored on the ROM itself. Get a different SD card, create a 9.2.0 emuNAND, boot up Gateway, and extract the save file from the ROM.

The black screen mean you didn't downgrade properly, in order to use this you create a 11.13 emunand (God mode 9), boot into emunand using luma cfw, when emunand is booted you run sysupdater and install the 4-5 cia from the psx-tools.de, make sure you click y to downgrade, once downgrade is complete gateway mode will work, still use it on my n3dsxl, if you have luma boot the emunand and run the downgrade part, I can't post the files due to IP and copyright

old3DS GW v11.7.0-40E .rar is this the rar that contain updates ??
there is like 7 cia in updates

Yeah use the updates! It should have 4 or 5 cias in it, copy those over and run sysupdater, press y, takes less than a minute or so, once it's done, you can boot into gateway mode

Copy the updates folder (one should be named updates! Only copy updates if you're on 11.13 already) run sysupdater and press y

last thing I tried to play online with a rom which included my private id but it says i need to update console the thing is I'm on GW3D 11.13.0-45E already isn't weird ?
