I have been testing the new compile and found some issues controller related.
In gui using the c-stick from gc controller after some seconds wii freeze. Using the directional digital buttons freeze can come much later. In games with GameCube original controller: hello kitty start button doesn't register triforce games controller doesn't work at all.

is it an official nintendo gc controller or a third party?
I don't quite understand the last sentence about In games with gamecube controller. but if it's while the game is running it wouldn't be a wiiflow issue it would be nintendont issue. which if you have gc controller issues with both wiiflow and nintendont then your controller must not be official by nintendo.

the only other thing i can think of is snes9xgx having wiimote issues somehow related to the latest build of libfreetype. they fixed it by using a much older version of libfreetype.

Thanks for testing. So downloading is fine. But it hangs on converting a cover. Last week i tested cache covers and mem2 free before and after each cover was exactly the same. Which means mem2 is being free'd properly. So the only thing i can think of is you just dont have enough mem2 free to begin with.

Also curious if its the same exact cover every time. Plus really weird that your wii freezes. Like i said before. If wiiflow encounters not enuff free mem it simply doesn't convert the cover and moves on to the next.

Hey, I just tried the version that you PM'd me. This time it froze even on the "Saving Cover" step. I let it sit there a good 15 mins before holding the power button on my Wii. The old 5.2.0 version works like butter. I am running the app off of my USB drive so perhaps when these newer versions are writing to the drive either saving the cover or converting, it encounters an issue.

Can you try it again. But first go in main settings start setting and set force cios to no or off.

Just checked and Force CIOS was set to off already. Still I confirmed it, rebooted WiiFlow, confirmed still off and tried again. Last time it got stuck at 90-something % this time it got stuck again at 75% "Saving to usb1:"

Hello, I tried to use Wiiflow lite only with a SDHC card (app and games) on a vWii.

Official build doesn't see my SDHC games folder (only games on USB drive) and Damimal mod gives me black screen ...

As I can read on github, only 5.2 works with vWii but this one doesn't recognise my SDHC :-(

I formated again my SD card (logical fat32) + d2x-cios-installer + fresh install of Wiiflow and now it works :-)

THX for your help!

I spoke too fast ... It doesn't work anymore but I discovered an interesting thing. If I used USB loader GX to launch Wiiflow, all games are working good.

Actually, I unpluged my WiiU hdd and it works without issues ...

@fledge68 I'm having a serious issue with some plugins that's driving me crazy.
Some plugins are not showing anymore in Wiiflow.
For example if I choose Vectrex, Wonderswan, Virtual Boy, Thomson, VG5000 or TRS-80, Wiiflow is saying 'No plugins selected' and displays the SNES background for all of them. They were all working before.
The last thing I did was adding some new plugins for my pack (mainly for the hexaeco cores).

I've triple checked all my platform.ini, source menus and plugins ini files.
All the magic numbers are unique in platform.ini and they are correctly entered in the ini's and in source menu files.
But if I go to one of the non-working coverflows, and click on Select Plugins, all checkmarks are empty.
If I manually put the check on their plugin it says no games are found (but there's no path).
I'm also noticing that the first checkmark in Select plugin is empty (no description). If I select it nothing happens. But there's no empty plugin ini in my files.

How's that possible? I've also tried to use another SD card, where I copied all my setup but I still have the issue.
I've also tried to remove the cache and game list files. And removing wiiflow_lite.ini too
I don't know what else to do

what version of wiiflow are you using? this sounds similar to what @kokokool was trying to tell me.
obviously it appears to be another mem issue possible.
for you I would set everything back to the way it was before adding those new plugins. see if it works. then try adding one at a time.
in the mean time i will try to look into it.

Guys sorry to interrupt you, but at last I’ve managed to sort this thing out.

It may sound silly but, after 100 attempts and questioning even the naming and combinations, guess I figure it out what happened.

I use three OS at home regularly, Windows, Linux and Mac

But in windows when you open a ini file with notepad and saved it some inis were not detected by wiiflow and “no plugins appeared” started to happen.

I grabbed a native ini file ( difficult to be read on notepad since only shows a long line with all parameters joined) and I this time I opened with programmers notepad or notepad++, which detects line numbers. So I Replace the parameters and saved it. Problem solved, could you imagine that!!

I finally manage to fix every single ini with problems.

Sorry fledge68 if my english can’t be easy to follow for you lol

Hope this this helps you out.
