The pacing of this is so much better than the Guerilla Collective, but there...really isn't anything interesting to me. I know these are all much less hype than first-party titles or they're straight up indies just starting out, but there's just been a tiny handful of games shown today that I'll end up wanting to try when they release.

Dustborn? Religion? Instant turn-off; promoting cults is despicable.

Kena being an Epic game is abhorrent; has that launcher/storefront actually added any of the things on its roadmap? Has it become a more acceptable, less bare-bones, place? I'm still biased against Epic due to exclusivity deals being customer-hostile, and it launching in a massively unacceptable state.

A Sherlock Holmes game with a simple "relative is dead and you have to find out why" plot. What a waste of a fine franchise.

This will give an excuse to stingy pirates to pirate this game.

Pirates never change.
Except they do. There was a period of about 3 or 4 years where things were going really smoothly for PC gaming and the vast majority of people were considering hanging up the pirate hat for good. The Dark Souls PC port caused a lot more Japanese developers to take notice and start porting their games as well, and a great peace swept over the land. That is at least until...the Fortnite nation attacked.

Odds are that if Kena turns out good I'll buy it on PS5, but it's still incredibly frustrating to have my options limited for me like that. Especially considering that Sony takes the exact same 30% cut that Steam does. Tim Sweeney's disdain for PC gaming remains obvious, as he continues to try to drive people away from it under the guise of being its "saviour."

Aside from some Vita stuff a while back, EGS exclusives are literally the only games I pirate now. I'm surely not alone in that, either.

C'mon i don't understand why people dislike EPS that much, and i don't see when $ony have exclusive titles get such hates like EPIC does. I believe people are just racist when a japanese company get exclusive it's OK, while EPIC is NOT OKAY.

didn't MOMs tell you that u shouldn't take candies from strangers? well all our moms did, but when EGS gives candies people has never been so fast to grab it.

Pathetic.

We've had to deal with third-party exclusives on consoles since the first generation of them debuted in 1972. Nobody thinks it's ideal, but they've been around so long that they've become little more than a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things. It's only natural that people weren't happy about EGS suddenly introducing a previously console-specific concept to PC gaming in 2019, though I think people might've been far more accepting of it if the EGS platform itself weren't also so laughably underdeveloped. It's the Limewire/AOL of game launchers.

If you're referring to the free game giveaways, of course I was happy to participate in that, right up until the point when Epic pivoted away from a focus on first-party games like Shadow Complex and Unreal Tournament to a far more anti-consumer business stance. At that point I deleted my account entirely, including the free games. Granted that wasn't much of a hit for me since I owned all the good ones on Steam already, but that's still a lot of potential sales Epic lost from me which they didn't have to.

That's a dumb move indeed, after all EPIC is after profit like every other ambitions companies, and it the strategy to expand/invest on other sector when the game engine is saturated. It an ordinary step in every business model. Nothing wrong about that when they move oon from older IPs, look at Activision or Ubisoft about they franchise, at least EPIC is not milking on old franchise by releasing remasters, remakes and portings of old IPs.

like i said Deleting an EPIC account is really dumb irrational, but it was ur account, so.....
