Team-Xecuter has announced that pre-orders are starting TODAY for their new Switch mod-chips.

We even get a extra treat, finally a clear picture of their SX LITE installed in a Switch Lite motherboard, as you can see in the photo above, and also the pricing is only $45.95 and includes their SX OS license, but you can use other CFW as well, and looks like the selected testers will finally be getting their units by end of next week, so lots of good news all around!

First of all, we hope you and your families are safe and healthy during this global pandemic that has hit our civilization hard.

We got many questions about the current status of our new products, and after many hurdles we are excited to announce we will be opening up preorders for our SX Core and SX Lite products starting today.

Just like the SX Pro, the retail price for the SX Core and SX Lite is currently fixed at $45.95 and comes with a free SX OS License (although you are free to not use SX OS, of course).

All distributors and vendors will start taking preorders in the next hours/days. We want to give you this heads up to give everyone an equal opportunity to be among the first to receive their retail copy of the next generation of Team Xecuter's finest products for your beloved Switch consoles!

Those of you who were selected for the private beta (you know who you are!) should get their review units shipped towards the end of next week. After their sanity check and feedback are in we will ramp up production and strive to deliver the retail preorders around the end of April.

So for now, the wait is finally almost over, we can now starting ordering our modchips, and soon we will see first-hand feedback from selected testers that will be getting their units soon, so stay tuned for more news soon!

Supposedly, yes it will.
Technically, it should work on every firmware based on the assumption that this is not a software hack but an hardware one. You're literally tampering with your system MOBO so until it comes out I don't think Nintendo's going to be capable of doing anything about that.

When the chips will start spreading, I believe they'll do something. First of all, they're going to modify the next Switch in production in order to nullify the chip, then they'll try to make it useless even on older Switch by software updates, even though it's going to be pretty hard and don't know if Nintendo is really going to do that.

Obv, that's just my own speculation. Don't count on it.

i can see them releasing a home only system
maybe a VR addon or stand alone VR model

MarikoCalcio is a docked only home console kind of thing.

but it does use the tegra x1 , i wonder if they made an add on VR headset if it could use 2 tegra X1's
the one in the unit and one in the console it is connected to like the PSVR having it's own processing unit
though i am not sure what kind of processor PSVR uses or how powerful it is , not sure if the x1 would be way overkill

The timing won't ever be right to release a Switch exploit probably.
The console is too weak even for the current generation -- which is ending. When PS5 and Series X games are released, Nintendo won't be able to count on portings like it's doing right now, so we'll probably see updated version of the Switch every 2-3 years more or less.
I mean, CD Projekt went through hell to make The Witcher III playable on Switch even at the lowest acceptable resolution (540p handheld...) and through the lowest textures settings - and it's not the most demanding game of the generation, not even close to it.

It's unlikely that there'll be a point in which we won't expect a future Switch, even after the release of a new one. As a matter of fact, when Mariko had released, everybody started talking about a supposed Pro version of the Switch. It'll probably be like this for years to come. Nintendo was dumb to release such a weak system, though I guess they were right at the end because people still bought it. It's such a shame to see a beautiful system like this lacking power to really express itself.

All hardware types currently use the t210 (Tegra X1) or t210b01 (Tegra X1+)

I believe they're still going to take advantage of the Switch brand in the near future, which has shown to be much profitable. Besides, the console is still relatively young being released three years ago. I could be wrong obviously.

Yeah, like I said: it's like cutting the Titanic movie down to size: it's good to have opinions, but you're still speaking ill of a world record-breaking movie - I myself don't like it, for example and still must face the facts regardless.

I believe they could've asked Nvidia to customize it to make it better, honestly? Engineering should've been capable of improving it and make the Switch a much more current-gen system (whether by making it run hotter and adding fans or else, I'm obviously not educated enough about it and maybe was even impossible to do so), while at the moment it can't sustain even the most demanding games of the gen. Then again, the Switch did what it had to do and shipped 50+ milion units. it's not like they did wrong at the end. Besides, to customize the architecture would've probably cost a lot and wouldn't have been worth it, so... whatever. it's not my intent to speak ill of the Switch (I love it, actually) but I know that there are lots of games I can't even hope to dream on such a weak system and in next years it will be even more noticeable.

I think that there will be more like CDPR with their port of Witcher 3 . Switch lacking of power if you compare it to ps4 or other BUT it is portable console, that gives a lot of difficulties when you trying to create a system that can run cool games and be portable . They could make it more powerful but 100% price could be much much higher . So I think that switch is wonderful how it is .

I'm thinking it's not real likely that the preorders are actually shipping at the end of the month, and even if they are I'd be wary of buying one. So far as I can tell, no one actually has a review unit yet, or if they do they haven't posted anything about it. That's a week and a half at best for TX to field the first bug reports, and for people to actually get an idea of how easy they are to install and set up, etc. before full-scale shipping is supposed to start. It's also pretty generous to assume that there are no hardware/QA issues with the first production run.

if the don't ship soon i am afraid we will never see it , and i am in the 2nd batch so i don't think it is looking good for me
