As ACNL support was added so expertly added, I'll suggest "*.nhd" pattern mimetype support aswell.

Used by NHSE (Last run at time of writing).

I attached some of mine design times as per last time.

Great job you've done !
(Let's just hope Ninty will at some point stop pushing all thos updates, or you will be busy till the end of time :( )

This editor is as stable and impressive as all the previous ones I had used for WW, CF and NL.

I will add byte pattern recognition in the next release so it may be version independent from there on (unless nintendo does something big with the savegames)

Thanks for the attachment. I will look into it. Did you already try to just rename the file extension and try that file? Maybe its the same byte format as QR codes.

Keep up the great work, @FabolousPotatoePet !
Was wondering would this work with Mono on Mac? I know Mac support is low on the list of things to fix, but was wondering if I could also run this using Mono on Mac? I tried just now and this is the error I got:
Code:
Cannot open assembly 'AC NH Design Pattern Editor.exe': File does not contain a valid CIL image.
I haven't tried with Wine but I don't think it would work.

It's made with unity so its compiled into a native binary which then initializes the JIT environment itself. It's possible and some people had success with the Mac Build I offered previously. But there were still some bugs :)

Tried renaming as suggested, sadly that just froze the program.. *oops*

What do you mean by "byte pattern recognition",
and how exactly will it help keeping up with (small) changes ?

First off-the editor looks amazing, well done!

I wonder if anyone could help me as I am having a few issues. In the tutorial video on the editor, it shows JKSV being opened and the "dev.sv" option being selected. Im on the latest JKSV and only have "my name", "device","BCAT" and "system" showing. I know my backups of other games work as I regularly use PKHEX and my Sword save back up works fine. When I opened the editor after backing up my Animal Crossing save, nothing is showing except "passphrase.bin".

Can someone help me please? Thanks

Hey bro. I just downloaded this and I can't make it work. When It loads my main.dat, it dosn't show anythink, just a blank space.

I can't put screenshot since I'm new but it is just blank, the same background color from the main menu and do nothing.

I'm on 1.1.4 and Windows 10. I used succesfuly the NHSE tool for Eg.

Any idea? What celse could I try to fix it?

Yeah, the previous Mac build opened for me on my Mac but the file chooser prevented me from choosing my save file.

No worries though, I'll try to use a Windows computer to get the editor working on my end :) Thanks for your hard work!

Use "Device"

When did you download 0.9.2d? There was a bug previously. I just replaced the zip :)

Thanks for replying mate. When I open JKSV, then select "Device" its just a load of folders with numbers as titles-which one hould I be selecting? Thanks

No, that seems to be the "System" Folder.

Once you open the "Device" folder, you should see your games Icons.

Awesome tool. Well done.

Is there a way for me to load my save in here without using custom firmware or other hacks? I want to create some custom designs from base images and then transfer them legitimately to my save file via QR code. I've done this with acpatterns, but I can't tweak or otherwise modify the designs ingame afterwards (due to missing author data — no connection to my save data, name and island doesn't cut it). AFAIK there's no way to export designs from ACNH to get the data into acpatterns, but if I were to load my save into your tool and export from that, seems like it might accomplish what I'm looking for?
