TX Announce Preorders for SX CORE and SX LITE

Team-Xecuter has announced that pre-orders are starting TODAY for their new Switch mod-chips.

SX-Core-PreOrders.png

We even get a extra treat, finally a clear picture of their SX LITE installed in a Switch Lite motherboard, as you can see in the photo above, and also the pricing is only $45.95 and includes their SX OS license, but you can use other CFW as well, and looks like the selected testers will finally be getting their units by end of next week, so lots of good news all around! :)
First of all, we hope you and your families are safe and healthy during this global pandemic that has hit our civilization hard.

We got many questions about the current status of our new products, and after many hurdles we are excited to announce we will be opening up preorders for our SX Core and SX Lite products starting today.

Just like the SX Pro, the retail price for the SX Core and SX Lite is currently fixed at $45.95 and comes with a free SX OS License (although you are free to not use SX OS, of course).

All distributors and vendors will start taking preorders in the next hours/days. We want to give you this heads up to give everyone an equal opportunity to be among the first to receive their retail copy of the next generation of Team Xecuter's finest products for your beloved Switch consoles!

Those of you who were selected for the private beta (you know who you are!) should get their review units shipped towards the end of next week. After their sanity check and feedback are in we will ramp up production and strive to deliver the retail preorders around the end of April.
So for now, the wait is finally almost over, we can now starting ordering our modchips, and soon we will see first-hand feedback from selected testers that will be getting their units soon, so stay tuned for more news soon!

I mean, it’s also worth waiting in case they pull a Stargate and just release the product, update it once or twice, then vanish. Personally, I am going to wait until either some clones to come out or a community made project is released because I will never support the SX team.

Makes sense to not want to support the team who’s research and development made this product possible. Let’s wait for others to reverse engineer this product and sell it for cheaper since all they have to do is clone it and tweak it, and then let’s support THEM. I am behind you 100% with this logic, I hate TX for charging us money for a very hassle free product they developed, it should be FREE!!! Damn you TX! Who else is with us?!?!

Its hard to see by this photo if this need some solder or not, if its just plug n play will be awesome!!!
Like on chess, nintendo your move now...
It will need soldering else TX wouldn’t be asking for testers with soldering skills!

Nice, hopefully Nintendo doesn't brick the consoles via surprise firmware update like MS did with Xbox 360 in 2006.
they'll probably figure out some way to do it
and then tx will just figure out a way around that
repeat ad infinitum until the switch dies commercially, which probably won't happen until at least 2026 considering how dang well it's doing
but the one thing they cannot fix for those that already have it is the tegra rcm flaw

I haven't really looked into TX, wonder if the licence is tied to the device. pretty sure it is otherwise I would sell it and then the modchip would be a bit more affordable. Not that I need one, but if I get a switch lite or something would be nice.

Good work TX on the mod-chip this is a step in the right direction for some... Unfortunately not to shit on anyone this is only going to benefit like maybe 10% tops of the people that are willing to open their consoles. So this is actually a good thing I doubt Nintendo will bother with this too much.

I personally rather not use a modchip you can easily wipe out your CFW and resell the switch again a modchip you cant do that

A lot of people prefer it not modded, and some people think that selling it modded crosses the line of legality or morals. You don't see random people that have a single hacked system get caught or arrested or the like but sellers of stuff like that can get into trouble.

Yeah I know a lot of people that don't want a modded OG Xbox. They want it untouched.

well the shielding over the EMMC looks like it is made to just clip off
i suspect the 1st thing Nintendo will do to mitigate this is revise the board and make the EMMC shield a bitch to get off by soldering it it on really good
if you want a modifiable switch lite i would suggest buying it right now
or else you will be performing delicate surgery with a dremel to cut away the metal shield over the EMMC or using a soldering iron and have to take the whole board out to access the back of it to gain access to the solder holding the EMMC shield in place, they could put lots of solder under there making it really difficult to desolder with out causing damage

I can't feel too bad when this is exactly how TX developed "their" firmware.

Also fairly shady to start taking pre-orders before revealing what kind of skills/tools are needed to install.

Believe it or not modded consoles lost value especially if it is many floating around. I personally knew of a girl who had gotten a modded console but since she couldn't play games online she had got a refund from the seller. A good percent of people wanna play online we are just the minority that play with modded consoles. Modded switch doesn't sell well because the sellers try to price gouge and NSP games have like zero value.

I prefer my legal switch lite over my CFW switch certain games you cant even play properly without being connected to Nintendo Servers. Also I only play Mario Kart online lol Pokemon games you need online for the dens and etc... but I rather catch my pokemon rather just use PokeHex but that's just me.

A modded console value is only good as the quantity if you have so many of something the value will be less than a real switch since some of them could be banned or compromised. Once your switch is banned nobody will want to buy it.

In Argentina to mod and sell devices is not illegal , of course you cant sold the device with included games that you dont have .
Trust me a lot of buyers will in Argnetina , and will load the games when they get it .
And it will be sold on mercadolibre ( its like ebay and amazon all in one place )
As Modded Switch or Lite ,, ready to go and play all the games for free .

personally I'll just not buy any of this or another switch and just wait for when hacking and softmodding is safe and easy
moreso the safe part, as I already have an early Switch that won't be too hard to hack when the time is right
