Hacking How to run region free game with Sky3DS+ ?

Hello all !

I currently have a 2DS console with last firmware : 11.13.0-45-EU and a Sky3DS+ in it...

I would like to play with a USA game (another region) on my sky3DS+...

When I search on google, I can find the ninjhax solution to use with the "Cubic Ninja" game but when I check the ninjhax official website, I can only select 11.9.0.x as last firmware.

Does that mean it's not possible to do this with the last 11.13.0-45 firmware ?

How can I do ?

I'm OK to try CFW but is there any clear tutorial how to do this because I'm a noob in those things ?
I found some tutorial but they ask for a previous firmware so do I need to downgrade my 2DS firmware first ?
Will I need to hardware change my 2DS ?

You will not get much help and/or tolerance for 3DS mode flashcarts on GBAtemp. Same for non-CFW userland homebrew. Short of own experience I cannot be of assistance on those topics (don't have any expensive 3DS flashcart). I've no idea if the previous loaders/exploits for out-of-region games still work – doubt it.

What I do know is that Sky3DS(+) and Stargate 3DS mimic retail 3DS games. This brings a lot of limitations (no eShop only games, no homebrew, no out-of-region).

That said free custom firmware removes all limitations and can do much more than Sky3DS+… but it should enable other region ROMs on the flashcart micro-SD as well. Refer to the guide https://3ds.hacks.guide/ for installing CFW.

Wrong. 3DS is region locked. The ROM must match the console region. The flashcart itself works on any console.

My only idea that comes near to keeping the cake and eating it when somebody does not want to "compromise" a console:

• ntrboot into GodMode9 (rename GodMode9.firm to boot.firm)
  
  • Answer the question about the embedded backup with "No"
  • Create a NAND image to the SD
• chainload SafeB9SInstaller from GodMode9 to install B9S
  • Reboot into GodMode9 and answer the question about the embedded backup with "Yes" this time
  • Put latest Luma3DS as boot.firm on the SD and follow the finalizing setup page.
• Restore clean backup any time you want.

Ok makes sense. I have experiencing with modding and cfw however I just wanted to see if there was any alternative way to playing 3ds demo Roms (USA and Europe) on the demo console. Thank you for the help
