So I recently got banned, I don't really bother about it, as I didn't have any intention to play online anyway.
My question is (as I don't need emunand anymore): can I boot into sys cfw, install some stuff onto multiple SD cards and change them while system is running? Or do I still need to turn of the console, swap cards and reboot?

You can boot into hekate from hbl and hotswap there, then just launch atmos again (or whatever you use)...might not be the best way to hotswap, but at least you console wont turn off by itself and you won't need to inject any payloads after that... So, technically it is a hotswap.

yup just like @bad361 recommended. It's what I usually also do when updating files or trying new CFW.

This is amazing I actually didn't know this was a option, I just tried this now when I loaded on a few new roms on my retroarch and it worked like a charm.

Yeah is a neat feature!
I would recommend to make a whole back up of your sd once you have everything working your way, that way if you ever install something that brakes your CFW, you still have a back up of a working SD and you don't have to start from zero (unless you want to)

Buy a bigger sd card. Then you don't need to swap it until the card is full with stuff.

I've already a 128gb and a 200gb card. Next bigger would be a 400gb to combine these two. A 400gb is about 60€ and it just happens that there is a local promotion to buy a 128gb for 15€. So buying a bigger one is (at least for now) more expensive than using multiple cards.
Also I got them set up as a 'single player/test drive card' and a 'multiplayer-fun night with friends card'.
