About the emulation bugs, since you're most probably using PPSSPP, hit https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues if needed, the bunch there is very helpful. I must say that I never came across those bugs during my playthroughts, but I know that Phantasy Star aren't the most straightforward titles to emulate.

For those looking to do savegame conversions from the US/EU version of PSP2, since a lot of the threads are dead, I went and figured out how to do it using PPSSPP. It also works with Adrenaline!

Feel free to copy and distribute these instructions across other boards. I tried to post to the main PSOworld savegame conversion thread, but I can't create an account for some reason.

Steps enclosed:

What you need:

• PPSSPP
• Copies of JP and US or EU versions of Phantasy Star Portable 2 on your PC
  
• Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity on either your PC, PSP, or in Adrenaline

Steps:

1. Open the ppsspp.ini file, located in ppsspp/memstick/PSP/SYSTEM
2. Make sure EncryptSave is set to False.
3. Make sure SavedataUpgradeVersion is set to True. Save the file, but keep it open.
   
4. Run PPSSPP, load your US/EU savegame in your US/EU version of PSP2, and then save the game.
5. Open the savegame folder in ppsspp/memstick/PSP/SAVEDATA
6. Copy the save folder - should be ULUS10529 or ULEU10529, check the pictures to make sure its the right one.
7. Rename the copied folder to NPJH50043
8. Run PPSSPP again, this time load up the Japanese version of PSP2
9. Load your game, and then save it.
10. If you have PSP2i on your PC, You can skip to step 11! It'd be wise to do step 10-2 at some point to prevent future issues.
    1. If you don't, and need to import it to your PSP or PSVita, close PPSSPP.
       
    2. Pull up ppsspp.ini again, and set EncryptSave to True
    3. Run PPSSPP one last time, run the Japanese PSP2, then save the game.
    4. Copy the NPJH50043 folder over to your PSVita/PSP, place it in the SAVEDATA folder.
11. Run PSP2i and import using the option labeled "前作セーブデータインポート"!

BTW, emulators have a problem with the BGM on my Copy of PSP2 and i will point out that my PSP has no problems. don't worry about the BGM break, this is something with the Emulator itself. I was using PPSSPP btw sense i need a new charger for my PSP. I say focus on figuring out how to break the Infinite loading glitch over the BGM issue if you want to figure out which one you want to fix.

ah, thanks, i thought there was one, but totally missed it somehow. plus, i was trying to do it through adrenaline (and didnt realize it would be so much of a hassle), and so most of my searches pulled up results for SGDeemer and other related methods that didnt work with the psvita.
glad i could contribute though! using EncryptSave seems to be important for getting it to work outside of ppsspp, and some of the threads i found about it said that some games are pickier than others, even within ppsspp. it didnt work for me on adrenaline just to rename it, so thats why i had to use this method.
