PS4 now has Remote Play for all devices on Android, so in this case I would not bother on HOS.

Only problem though is they only support ps4 controller. I would love to be able to play on a tablet or phone with an ipega cradle controller or something like that

On Android for the Switch you can use Joycons or any other Bluetooth controller with PS4 Remote Play. It's the same for any rooted Android device really. You can trick the Remote Play app to think it's a real DualShock 4.

Cool, how does it run? Good enough remote response? I'm only looking to play red dead 2, nothing online

The stream itself works really well. There are some other issues though that still have to be worked out. One is that the Joycons' analog sticks only report as digital, so you don't get actual analog controls. It works fine with any other bluetooth controller though. If that's a problem depends on the respective game. Some really need exact analog controls, others don't. Then the wifi can sometimes disconnect for no reason, so you have to reestablish the connection to continue playing. Sleep mode also currently doesn't work, so the battery will get discharged faster than in HOS. All of this should be fixed whenever the Android Pie update comes out, but there's not ETA for that yet. I do think it already works quite well though.

Before I get to my issue, I would like to say that I appreciate the effort you all have put into creating an app like this. It's amazing how much you have done in both compiling and helping others with problems.

That being said, like some others on this topic, I have had problems with my controllers.
First, when I installed and first used the program, I had some networking issues (ethernet was connected to the modem and not router, thus blocking any connections from external devices from connecting to my computer.) I decided then that I should reinstall the drivers for the controller. Maybe that's where I went wrong, maybe not.
Then I got my network working well, enough for me to connect. I reinstalled the SCP drivers and... nothing. Ingame and on the HTML5 gamepad test website, no dice. So I reinstalled it again- nothing. I searched this thread of every page- nothing. Then I started to get errors reinstalling (Install - DIFxAPI error 0x000003EE; Uninstall - DIFxAPI error 0x00000057,) which popped up right as I clicked the corresponding button. I tried to install ScpToolkit after that- nothing. Same errors.
Video streaming works great, controllers not so much. I would love to not have to connect the controllers to my PC to play, as I have no bluetooth. Any advice?

PS: I have no clue if this is related or not but in random intervals, I now hear a device first connecting, shortly after disconnecting. A bit more wait, then rapidly connecting, disconnecting, connecting, and lastly disconnecting. It's an unspecified device named "Nintendo Switch." Thought I was going crazy for a sec there, as this has happened twice while writing this and I only thought to check what device it was the second time.

Kind of sucks that development seems to have halted on this homebrew. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty nice, but I really wish they'd implement mouse and maybe even keyboard support. That would open up all sorts of possibilities. Right now I'm mostly using it within Steam, but with mouse support I'd be able to control the OS from it, instead of only having access to a virtual xbox controller.

I'd love to be able to play games like World of Warcraft with this. Being able to play WoW with touch screen support on a portable device would be pretty awesome. And that's just one example, there's plenty of others.

It doesn't work on my end. I've built the .nro from the latest Github with the right commits applied. On my PC I have the latest release (even though in the window bar it says v0.1), but after typing my IP and tapping Connect nothing happens. It says for like brief 5 secs that it has connected (although my Switch's display is on the same exact screen), but the goes back to Disconnect. The PC and the Switch are on the same wifi. I have no idea why it isn't working.

Would this also allow someone who is not in the same home/wifi (different area) to connect and play switch games as if they were there? IE: playing mario party - you have to be on the same wifi.

This is pretty cool. Seems to stream really well but the sound is pretty awful unfortunately. I'm not sure if it's just me or what.
