can you help me please... According to the first post I would say that the serialnumber XAJ70004239XXX is fine and not patched. Right? It would be a save option?

It confuses me because in the excel file (Xplic1T created spreadsheet) when I search for the first digits (XAJ70004) I can recognize one normal line (with 1.0 firmware) and the following red lines which says it's patched:
463 EUR Gray --- 9/12/18 XAJ7000436XXXXX 4.1.0 (Patched) ---
and
EUR Fifa 2019 eldorado.ru 12.12.2018 XAJ7000464XXXXX 4.1.0 Patched airnya

What does this mean? Is the provided serial number not save anymore?

Until now I only get in touch with a seller of this switch version and struggeling if I can buy it or if it is not safe.

An other version from an other seller is serialnumber XAJ40037172XXX. Is this version safer? This switch is 20 Euros more expensive than the first one with one game less to start with...

The entries in the spreadsheet are wrong, they probably misstyped the serial by adding an additional zero. XAJ40004 is 100% unpatched, they are pretty early models.

According to the guide above it says it's safe but when I put in my serial number in on "is my switch patched" website it comes up as patched! How is that possible? It's not patched.
One of the serial number sites lists it as an "invalid serial number" for some reason (maybe this is what you observed, since the resulting message is in red), but I checked with a couple others and it comes back not patched.

Most people report them as unpatched, but this definitely not certain. Nintendo could have started to use patched boards somewhere down the line.

Very close to the 'unpatched'/'possibly patched' border. For awhile the 'possibly patched' border started at XAW10078, but a few XAW10077 were reported as patched.
So, odds are good the unit is not patched, but can't say 100%.

it was just running cfw, they patched units OTA or something?

Hi guys first post here..I just bought a Switch that is unpatched on software 9.0.1 and I was wondering if I can use choixdujour and update on the same version 9.0.1 but exfat instead? would it work?

No, the "patching" has to be done at factory-level. If you were running CFW previously, something else must be the issue.

that's what I thought. Yeah my PC is down so I"m using parallels but don't think tegra is optimized. Always getting a black screen. I just ordered the sxos pro so hopefully that fixes my issue. thanks mate.
