Hi All. I have a totally clean switch and an unpatched switch that I can successfully boot into RCM. Both are updated to firmware 9.0.1

In the past, under 8.0.1, I would do this process:

1. Play my game on the Clean switch
2. Boot up my Hacked switch into the regular, official firmware
3. Transfer my game save from my Clean switch to my Hacked switch (again, booted into the regular firmware) via the "Transfer Save Data" tool
4. Set my Hacked switch to airplane mode, then reboot it into CFW (Atmosphere)
5. Use Checkpoint on the Hacked switch to grab the save, edit on my PC, then load it back to the Hacked Switch
6. Boot my Hacked switch back into the regular, official firmware and connect it online again
7. Transfer my now-edited game save data back to my Clean switch (again, via the "Transfer Save Data" tool.)

This was never a problem in 8.0.1. or prior. Did it constantly. No issues.

Now, here's the problem: after updating from 8.0.1. to 9.0.1 (and doing all the necessary steps to get CFW running on 9.0.1 on my hacked switch, the process encounters the following issue:

CheckPoint/EdiZon can't see the save I transferred over to the hacked switch anymore. Why??

Was there some change to where/how they store the save files in 9.x? Can CFW no longer access saves transferred over to that unit when booted into official, non-custom FW? What am I doing wrong? This process worked perfectly in 8.0.1 and back. And I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any help.

If you're transferring edited or modded saves to your clean switch then it's no longer clean anymore and might even get you banned.

Ignore the other guy. I use this method to modify saves from my Switch Lite on 9.0.1 just fine. Make sure you have the latest Checkpoint and that you’re running Checkpoint by holding R while booting a game (app mode) instead of from the Album (applet mode). Also make sure the proper user is selected. Just wanted to let you know this works fine for me in 9.0.1

Thank you so much! I figured it must be something simple. Got it working fine (have already edited a few saves.) Thanks again!
