Sorry, I was incorrect about "this weekend" - instead, just keep an eye out here as usual and it will be materialising in the very near future!
what do you mean by that?

i personally read that as a joke and found it funny to boot. Because we are all just honestly thankfully there's even a translation coming, i legit couldn't imagine this being serious :P
yeah but thats not the way to reply. you cant demand the translation team to finish it off right now. be more respectful and wait. i already waited for 9 years, i can wait a bit more. go for a soda and come back later. sorry if i went a bit angry. my apologies.

The translation team is really a life-saver. We need more people like them. I can't thank you enough for granting us our childhood dream to play this game! I legit studied japanese for several months to be able to play this game. You guys are truly an angel.

It was not my childhood game, but the Game I played when I was 20. And yes, wish there was more teams like this one. Cough cough, xenosaga ds.

how aproximately we have to wait im really anxious
Just wait bro. Go hang out with your friends, get a soda and come back later. Let it be a bit more.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

It takes as long as it takes. Go find something to do to kill time.
Yup, that's what I was saying. By being anxious you won't speed the process. Let it be and kill time by doing something else.

I'm confused. This is gbatemp, not GameFAQs. People here are typically familiar with the packing process of mod files. It's literally a few command lines to compile files and I'd hope no one needs to be told how long it takes to upload games this small.

I could never speak to the time it takes to translate, so I waited patiently for that to finish but after hearing that it's done and all they need to do is compile and upload...how is that not done in like 20 minutes of confirming the translation is complete? I mean in order to test that your text aligns right and doesn't flow over the text boxes etc. you have to compile and check shit out, rinse repeat.

I want to hear a technical response not some ignorant "find something to do and wait" or "they don't owe you anything" response. That just shows your lack of knowledge of the time it takes to compile and upload an NDS game and that you've got nothing to contribute to get this done.

I've played around with replacing assets and text in loads of ROMs including DS/NDS/cia files. It doesn't take long to compile. If you don't know how to do it I can link you some tutorials or just do it for you. I'd like to assume you already know how if you've already gone through a second pass and a few folks on here sound like they were in a beta. If the person with all the files is on vacay and can't get to it right now or you're putting on "finishing touches" to the translation just be more transparent so we know what we're really waiting on because compiling something as small as these games and uploading to gdrive or whatever doesn't really merit a post saying there's a delay...

Right now this is like the equivalent of saying "okay guys we just finished building this skyscraper (so I get it translation takes a ton of work and time...huge accomplishment...you're rockstars) but this isn't coming out today because I still need to put a load of clothes in the washer"..wut?...days later...

This response shows your lack of respect for their free time. They truly don’t owe you a response and yes the proper response is to wait. Even if they gave you a response would it make you feel better? We’ve already waited a few years what’s a few more days/weeks

You think they owe it to you or something? Did you pay for the translation? You're getting it for free, you don't have the right to tell them what to do, go spread your BS somewhere else

I gave a date, turned out it was incorrect because shock horror we're all grownups with day jobs that sometimes dump stuff on us that we have to work on in our own time. Rather than give another potentially incorrect date, I opted for the response that I did. I'm a researcher in my day job. I completed three different research projects this summer and the team put up with long silences from me as I got through what I needed to before I could return to proof-reading. The actual translation was completed some months ago but the team held off on releasing so I could complete the proof-reading process and ensure all the many in-game references to SRW and even as far back as NamcoXCapcom were correct as far as possible. Because we want to bring you the best localisation we can. You've waited long enough, after all.

If that's a bad thing, well, I don't know what to say to you. Hopefully it'll have been worth the extra week of waiting?

Just made an account to say thank you for all the hard work the team has put into making this a reality. Not all of us are so impatient and entitled. Thank you for doing what you didn't have to.

Thanks for your reply and support. Since I'm a bit away from development, I'm not sure about the compiling process. But thanks for your help and interest.

tl;dr It'll be released either this weekend or the next one, so have some patience.
Yes. I do follow that translation team since they are one of the best teams. But I don't mind playing it on English even if I'm a Spanish native.

Yeah . Why people hates for the sake of hate/trolling only because they don't want to wait. I support you.
