Hi guys.
I also have a patched switch and i have the following problem. I had error 2101-0001 and i solved the error with exchange M92T36. USB-C port was broken - damaged pins and i replaced it with a new one. After replaced it, i saw that switch it not charging. I checked the USB-C port and it is ok, so i changed that too BQ24193, but the same result. When i connect it to the laptop, i don't hear the USB device connection sound, but with RCMLoader Jig if if I put the Switch it to RCM mode, then I see the connection between him and the laptop, respectively nintendo switch APX mode. If I start it normally, he doesn't see it. I tried with the multimeter to measure around BQ24193, but i'm not so good at the measurements and i don't realize if something is wrong. I do not know what else to do, to solve the problem with the usb charging. Any ideas ? I apologize for my bad English and thank you in advance for the answer.

Actually, funny thing..the OS not loading was because of a firmware mismatch with the fuses. I loaded atmos and then choidujoourNX and upgraded to 8.0.1 for 9 fuses burnt. wala! Switch fires up.

It makes me think that testing for the switch fast charging (switch from .48 to 1.78) with the mb only connected might only happen IF the firmware is loaded correctly. I say this because the power charge indicator on the screen started working once I fixed the FW version. I am new to this so I don't know if autorcm does the same thing, probably not.

Hi, can you tell me how you did this please, is there a guide?
Thanks

I solved it was the USB-C port. I changed it to a new one and now everything is ok. Thanks.

Hello again.
I have a Switch that supports hack. He power on, charging perfect in the dock, but if I put the USB C cable from the laptop to the Switch, shows me a message that it cannot charge. If I start TegraRcmGUI with RCMLoader Jig and trying to get it in RCM mode, it doesn't work gives me message "No RCM device detected". Even with the NS-Atmosphere I was not successful. Any ideas ? I apologize for my bad English. Thx !!

Hi at all,
i have the 2101-0001 error, i bought the switch on ebay. Switch is not loading, 0,0. First i check the caps and found nothing shortet, so i replaced the M92T36 with a new one.
Same Error. I have a 2. M92.. and replaced it again, same error. Next i replaced the PI3USB, same error 2101-0001.

I can load hekate with a RCM Loader and boot lakka, joycons working fine on lakka.
Here some Pics from Hekate.
Burned Fuses: 8
FW: 6.2.0

Next i think i replace the BQ24193, but this is my last idea.

I had error 2101-0001 and i solved the error with exchange M92T36. It may be a bad lot of M92T36. Look to see if it is written on it M92T36 and nothing else.

I'd say that if it only charges with the cable inserted one way could be the reason why its not docking rather than the missing caps.
Was the image you posted before your repairs?

Yes that is correct that image is before the repair. You think because those caps are for decoupling that something else is causing this issue? Perhaps I need to reflow that chip again and make sure all the connections are solid?

Hi, can you tell me how you did this please, is there a guide?
Thanks

1.see if your switch can get into RCM mode and you can launch lockpick or hekate
2. Go ahead and boot to the OS that is loaded and make sure it works via sysnand
3. reboot to rcm and launch lockpick and verify the number of fuses
3. check the homebrew wiki and line up the version
4. download the correct clean offload version of the fw from the net
5. load in choidujoourNX nro into the sd card along with the extracted firmware in the fw directory
6. launch rcm again, boot to sysnand and run choidujoourNX don't use autorcm

I think that is it, you should be able to boot stock after that if it IS your problem.

Hi guys. IMG_E5706.JPG IMG_5717.PNG IMG_5720.PNG
I have another Switch that had the USB C port destroyed, I changed it with a new one, I also changed the M92T36 and BQ24193, now it starts OK, it charging in the dock without problems but if I put it on the usb cable on the laptop it tells me no can charging. It is also a series that supports hack. If I try to pass it in RCM mode, TegraRcmGUI says I am waiting for it to pass in RCM mode but it is, it does not see it through usb cable. If I put on the tester it shows me that it loads but on the display on the switch it gives me a message that it cannot charging. I also tried with three different cables on two laptops, the same result. With the RCM jig started, i launched Hekate with NS Atmosphere and it does nothing. Any idea what to do? Sorry for my bad English.

Check that you've got continuity on the common mode choke just above the usb port.

So this same switch with the output to screen issue. I pulled it apart again and here is an image of the rework I did:

upload_2019-10-3_10-51-14.png

I had to rerun a new line to the filter because the person before me lifted that pad. Now that I am looking at it I am wondering if I am missing another component?
Perhaps a resistor inline? I'll dig around for another high res image to see what I can find.

The good news is I took at look at the usb C connector again, and it looks like that was replaced, but they didn't do a good job (surprise, surprise) and the pins that are exposed were no soldered to the board!

I went ahead and soldered those and checked the connections, now the USB works either way for charging. woohoo!

Unfortunately video output is still not working, but the screen does go blank now when its plugged into the cradle like its trying to do something.

Has the choke you've connected the wire to got continuity across it.

Yup it does, checks good from the chip to the choke, also its hard to tell where the chip is but that wire only touches that 1 pin, I tested that as well.

I also took apart a dock and tried flipping the usb-c around, but it does the same thing. The switch sees the dock and blanks the screen, the dock gets a green light but no video.

1 - is the fuse
He is talking about 2nd one.

Hey, try to connect USB charging cable other way around, still no charge?
I connected other way around and nothing. 1 from the picture, is a diode is not a fuse. Tomorrow i will measure 2nd one, to see if it has continuity. THX

Missing caps make me feel, like it might be the part of the problem also, i don't think this blown pad is a previous person mistake this one burns out when ppl use non original docks.

I just didn't paid full attention to the original question, very small amount of laptops can output current that needs for switch to charge.

Does it charges with original charger or with Power-Bank? If not:
It might be controller inside of the battery especially after blown BQ, try other good known battery.
I have strong feeling that your problem around BQ.

It charges without problem in the original dock with original charger. But, if i use USB cable in any laptop, desktop or Power-Bank, stop charge with message on screen, ''unable to charge''.
