I’ve been running atmosphere (currently 0.9.2) on my switch for a while but now the battery is draining oddly. Yesterday I fully charged it via the official dock to 100%. I put the switch in sleep mode in the morning and went to work for 9 hours. During that time 2% drained to 98%. I thought maybe I was imaging the battery drain problem. I put it back in sleep mode overnight and now it’s only at 20%. Does this type of behavior indicate the battery is going bad?

Hi, i already have a jig and my Switch is in the "orange" region, i was reading this guide:

https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/user_guide/emummc/sending_payload/

But i am unsure as to what am i looking for to see if my Switch is patched or not, there is no step that indicates "The process will stop here if your Switch is patched" and the link sent me to "Sending a payload" first and then "Preparing the SD" later, but preparing the SD is normally first on the tutorial so idk what am i supposed to do first.

With firmware version 9.0.0 can I use a r4s I received recently?

I'm trying to launch any payload, but none of them seem to work although I've only tried sxos.

my rcm loader came so I plan to hack my switch today it shows files on it from 4/1/19 for the bin (this is the fusee-p.bin that you replace and rename to payload.bin with current correct?) so you can use the latest correct thats found with 9.4 or take the one from 9.3? or there is only one file that never gets updates

will try atmosphere

so from what I understand right now its best to not update atmos to 9.4 but to go for 9.3 and use goldleaf 7.0 not the latest?

Is it ok to use latest sig/patches since they will be more up to date? for when 9.5 comes since 9.4 had to have patchwork done to it are that might not come for a while?

and should nro be in a folder or doesn't matter (switch/nros)

also wanted to know is there a multiboot system where you could boot into different versions so if my switch is on 6.2 I could have 6.2ofw + current ofw + cfw/emu or most people just go the downgrade method? (is this what hekate does?) (yes I know don't burn fuses it prevents downgrades)

thank you

***ok I figured this out somewhat similar to android ***

If it’s getting you to the boot logo it’s gotta be something like a theme you had installed or something you have to delete to get past it or even background services, becauss I just literally downgraded with that same tutorial from9.0.0 sysnand to 8.1.0 so I could use emunand again and it went smooth first try no backup needed

Hmm idk I guess something on my SD card that shouldn't be there. I never used themes though. I just used the kosmos package mainly

After injecting Hekate into my switch, I'm doing the system backup. Can i unplug the usb and charge the system with its cable? It was at 80% but since it's taking quite a while I'm afraid for it to turn off mid-backup and ruin something :(
also, can i remove the rmc jig after injection of any payload?

cheers

Yes, you can remove the jig after entering RCM and unplug the USB cable after injecting the payload

Well I tried again and on my SD card is the latest kosmos and I used the latest hekate still no luck :/

Can somebody please help me troubleshoot and get my r4s running?

These are the files I require in my main directory of my mocroSD card, correct?

Where does the payload.bin go to replace the other bin file and also xci files?

If anyone knows a throughout guide for running a r4s let me know.

Thank you.

as far as i know one payload.bin is for the device you use on your switch in rcm mode so for you it should be your r4

Hi guys.

Everytime I come back to the switch hacking scene so much has changed. I've been content for quite some time with my setup and haven't needed to update for any reason, so I can't remember exactly which version of ReiNX or Atmosphere I'm even using right now... Is there any way to find out?

I want to update everything on my switch, so that it's running on the latest CFW and the latest ReiNX/ Atmosphere and I'm able to get full functionality out of it including installation of more recent games (if I even need newer FW for that). I've read something about Signature Patches somewhere too, guessing an update added more checks that a sig patch will prevent? I'm thinking that THESE are the patches, and they just go in the atmosphere (exefs_patches)/ ReiNX (Patches) folders respectively?

I really just need a guide or something that I can check out that can help me get up to date with everything I need. A little direction and help with this would be great!

Thanks a lot :D

Is it worth updating the ofw and cfw? I installed atmosphere cfw (not Kosmos, Reinx, or sxos) back in June this year and haven't updated anything since. Ofw is at 8.1.0 and cfw is at 0.9.1.

You can always update CFW files, Kosmos is just a file pack with Atmosphere as it CFW, stay at 8.1.0 for now if you don't want headache on 9.0.0 firmware.

Hey so i just update my switch from 5.1.0 to 8.1.0 (sxos) and now almost all of my games are asking me for a system update. What should i do ? Also i cant seem to turn on the console without booting it with sxos. Thank you.

Set up 90DNS or Blawar's Incognito if you don't want the update nag.

It is a fast moving console my friend since we are already up to 9.0.0 firmware. I recommend Atmosphere as it get the most feature and quickest update for CFW support, Signature patches allows you to run unsigned games and homebrew, the directory in sig patch pack tell you where to put them.

https://switch.homebrew.guide/gettingstarted/beforestarting

If you really wants a guide you can read this.

just curios, is emunand just for sxos? wanting to keep my 4.1 OFW sysnans and run a 8.1 emunand.
(i believe thats the right terminology) my switch om sxos is dead and im to cheap at the moment to spend another 30, only has the sxos a few weeks lol.
so my replacement is a clean 4.1 out of the box.
for some reason something tells me i want to keep my fuses, as my dead one i got on 8.0 and didnt care cause i knew it was too late.
what do you suggest, from what i read nintendo online you have to pay like psn+ or something

Check your fuse count with Hekate then compare it to the list of their respective firmware versions

It shows burnt fuses equal to 8.1. I thought that through ChoidujourNX that wouldn`t happen. Well too bad then. Is there any way I can into my OFW? I only have a clean backup from 6.1.
