I feel like I am experiencing similar issues with installing nsp's using the new goldleaf 7.1 and quark. My sysnand is 9.0 and emuMMC/Emunand are 9.0/9.4|E. I installed Astral Chain, Spyro Trilology and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1/2 but when I try to boot after I successfully installed them a notification appears stating I must turn off airplane mode. Turning airplane mode off doesn't correct the issue either. I saw in other threads that people said to reinstall the game or update the sig patches but I havent had any luck with those solutions either. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That's strange. For me I just installed the JRE 8u60 and downloaded and booted/executed the quark.jar file. The java program opened up fine as well as establishing a connection with Goldleaf 7.1. I was able to finally install games/updates but upon booting them they ask for an internet connection for some reason. Maybe its the NSP's? The place I get them from has comments with people reporting that they work.

I finally managed to install atmosphere.
Before that I copied the contents of my SD card to my PC, formatted the SD with FAT32 and copied the contents again to my SD card.
Now I can‘t launch my previously purchased games (digitally and physically) and if I boot without atmosphere I can only see spinning wheels instead of the game‘s images.
I was told that I need to install sigpatches, but I understood that I wouldn‘t need it for purchased games.

Did I do something wrong?
Have you tried using ReiNX?

I haven't paid attention to the Switch scene in a long while. I have a spare, untouched 3.0.0 Switch laying in my closet.

Are there any permanent "hax", or do I need to send payloads any time I reset the console? Do I go for the "dreaded" TX for ease of use, or is Atmosphere-NX just as easy/easier to use? Or maybe reiNX?
I remember using reinand for my 3DS before moving over to Luma3DS.

I see some mention of fuses. Should I try to preserve mine?

Is there one "go to" guide for going trough the jailbreak process?

Thank you for any replies that would help enlighten someone who has been out of the loop for too long.
All exploits for the console require sending a payload whether it is through USB with Fusee Gelee or over the Internet with Deja Vu. There are no permanent "hax" and there is no sign of any coming in the future. However anything is possible and this is why preserving the fuses is important because lower firmware versions may get an untethered coldboot exploit in the distant future. This is easily accomplished with the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX. But in order to run homebrew, you need a CFW. Personally, SX OS is not worth the money as 99% of what you can do with it can be replicated on free CFW. There are even features that SX OS is locked out of but free CFW can do. I recommend Atmosphere as ReiNX has some issues with consoles that are not on the latest firmware. This is the guide you should follow.

Hello all I am looking for advice on how to get rid of the "Update required download will start now" whenever I am trying to play a game. I recently updated to 9.0 and updated Atmosphere, sigpatches, and tinfoil. I have tried installing the XCI version of Crash Bandicoot, Mario Kart, and Skyrim with only Bandicoot working. I have also tried to install the NSP version of Mario Kart but I get the same message with only two options to download or cancel.
Download the updates for your games and install them. We cannot provide any links as those are considered copyrighted material.

Hey guys,

I recently implemented emuMMC on my exploited Nintendo switch so I could play online on my sysNAND. I went through all the process of setting emuMMC up and as the final step I was restoring my NAND backup from before I used any cfw. After successfully restoring my NAND backup, nothing happens when I try to power on my switch, nothing happens. I can still boot up RCM with my jig (as I turned autoRCM off) and access the cfw.

My NAND backup was on 6.1 if I recall correctly and through Choi I updated it to 8.1 in order to run some games. My hunch is that it may have something to do with the fuses.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Check your fuse count with Hekate then compare it to the list of their respective firmware versions here

i understand that firmware can't be shared because of some legal issue now. so is it possible to extract it from a switch that already has 9.0 loaded on it?

I have download the patches for atmosphere , the zip called “ 2.0.0 - 9.0.0” .

The zip structure is atmosphere>Exefs_patches and atmosphere>kip_patches

Where do i put these patches? Are there any different from the kosmos patches on github? Thanks

Indeed it is.

Would switching from atmosphere to reinx fix the issue with games requiring online to boot?
I would recommend giving ReiNX a try.

I'm on SX os cfw EmuNAND (8.1.0) and ofw (9.0).
I want to know if it's safe to install mods (example : Smash Bros Ultimate skins) on EmuNAND (it's always offline).

I won't use any mods on ofw.
All my hacks are on the sd card and when I boot into ofw, I always pull off my sd card before.
It should be okay right?

Anything done in emuNAND will not be detected as long as it never goes online. Files being on the SD card are irrelevant when it comes to bans for a wide variety of reasons.
