If you bought the console before June 2018, it should be hackable.

If you bought the console before June 2018, it should be hackable.

Date is less reliable than serial number. That is because we do not know when ipatched consoles were being manufactured. That is why there is overlap in the orange zone.

It is borderline so people can't give you a definitive answer, you need to test it.

People here on the forum can't help you much as it is borderline, it might be patched, it might be not, you need to push a payload to tell.

Well, then you can only search for an other Switch that is unpatched for sure or take the gamble.

crazy question here, but my switch dies and looking for a replacement. i got a guy who wants to trade a switch he bought last year around Christmas time. i wont be able to get serial until trade. is there a way i can use my Chromebook (in dev mode, unassigned apk's) to send a payload to test it out before the trade?
my luck its probably patched lol. its the neon standard edition..

Don't think you can use a chromebook to test, you need an unpatched unit for it to accept payload.

Yeah, enter RCM and try to inject a payload. There is a payload injecter for Android too.

Yea, what firm the system is on is very important for patched and mariko consoles. For regular patched consoles, 4.1.0 can be hacked right now, 5.0.0-7.0.1 will be hackable in the future, 8.0.x won’t be fully hackable but may be able to downgrade to 7.0.x in the future, and 8.1.0 and above is fucked. You’re on 9.0.0, so even more R.I.P . This could change sometime in the future, but it’s unlikely.

Just ran hekate on my switch. So its RCM hackable. Also my SN is barely in the “maybe hackable sn”.
