Sort of in a big pickle right now with my N2DS.

I am currently having a problem with my games and them not showing up. It was working earlier last night, I was playing ACNL (don't judge me) and thought I could get rid of the CONFIG app (due to it being corrupted and giving me a error when launching it). I was trying to delete the app, but accidentally deleted other files. So I did a safe NAND restore, and found that I could delete it from my Nintendo 3DS folder. That was when the problem arose. I booted back into the HOME menu, and shocked that my games that I poured hours into are GONE. I try going into data management and it gives me the message; "The microSD software management information is corrupted Reset it now? This will delete all software and save data."

I tried clearing the HOME menu extdata to see if that would do anything, but no success.

It's already on 11.10 and Luma CFW 10.0.1

Can someone PLEASE help me?

I would appreciate it greatly for the games that I have poured hours into.

1. Copy everything off your SD card.
2. Scan for all missing files using EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. Get the Pro version; get the good stuff from a torrent site.
3. Quadruple reformat.
4. Full Write + Verify the empty card in H2testw.
  • If hardware error was reported, you must replace the card and go back to step 1. See my signature.
5. Download the CFW starter kit and build a reference SD setup.
6. Copy only the Nintendo 3DS folder back to the SD card.
7. Go to GodMode9. Use the CTRTransfer (Type D9) - Fix movable.sed KeyY.
  • Ensure the NAND movable.sed KeyY matches encryption with the <ID0> subfolder.
8. For signs of damaged database where only GodMode9 can see them in Search for titles, use the CTRTransfer (Type D9) - Rebuild 3DS Database.
  • Use the Option (A) Quick if you have lots of games and your SD card checked out fine in step 4.
  • Use the Option (B) Full if your SD card failed hardware testing in step 4. This will test for data corruption for titles that fail to get dumped back into CIAs.
9. For missing tickets, use faketik.
  • System Settings → Data Management → Nintendo 3DS → Software

10. Backup all 3DS games saves + extdata using Checkpoint or JKSM.
11. Mass unwrap HOME Menu icons using Cthulhu.
12. Certain games like Super Smash Bros 3DS and Animal Crossing: New Leaf require special attention as they have something called Secure Value.
To reset (all at once) the anti-cheat save protection, delete this specific NAND file.
  • [1:] SYSNAND CTRNAND/data/<ID0>/sysdata/00010011/00000000
  • :!: Be careful. Don't delete the wrong 00000000 file.

Faketik wont work. Are there any alternates? And every time I use Option A in "Rebuild 3DS database" my 2DS randomly shuts off while it's working. Is this normal?

Yeah. I did part 1, but what do I do with the dummy CIAs? I get an error if I try and install them with FBI through HBL.
If FBI crashes, use FBI v2.6.0 GodMode9 injected in H&S. Try installing a small sized (real) CIA title and then try again installing the dummy CIAs.

If dummy CIAs simply do not install, you will need to (2a) Restore Setup and switch over instead with Option (B) - Full. Whichever titles not dumped backed into CIAs, you will need to supply replacement CIAs.

Still, no luck. I get a "Backup run cancelled. Please read the option description."

Due to how Option (B) Full works, I wrote in a safety feature that requires a user action before it runs.

This was done to prevent accidental or unintentional misuse by anyone using (1b) Backup CIAs & Save.

Read the description and instructions shown in the top screen.

Update: All the games were backed up into CIAs and are now reinstalling! You my friend, are a 3DS savior. Now, when the CIAs are done installing, do I go back to the script and use 2b restore saves?

After they're reinstalled, go straight to (2b) Restore Saves. You may notice some games are missing again on HOME Menu on the next reboot. Don't freak out. This script restores old set of tickets before the CIA re-installations to preserve private legit tickets from eShop purchases and updates. Continue with steps 9-12 in that exact order.

Keep in mind your AC:NL save might not get restored if it was deleted from tripping the secure value before you started this thread.

Perfect! Everything works like it used to! You don't know how much I'm thanking you for showing me this!

Now, in my OP I stated that I installed a corrupted CONFIG cia. I didn't go into much details, but I was trying to bypass a timegate, and failed. The icon on the HOME menu is just pure black. How would I go about removing it? Should I upload a photo of it?

I'm not familiar with this Nintendo SDK app, and what's its purpose.

I do know is that Nintendo SDK will not work if they're not encrypted.
  1. GodMode9 → [A:] SYSNAND SD/title/00040000/00000000/content/00000000.tmdTMD file options...Build CIA (legit) -or- Build CIA (standard) if legit doesn't work.
  2. [0:] SD CARD ()/gm9/out/0004000000000000 Config (000-0-0000) (W).ciaCIA image options...Encrypt file (0:/gm9/out) -or- Encrypt inplace.
  3. FBI → SD → ... → 0004000000000000 Config (000-0-0000) (W).ciaInstall CIA.
To fix the black icon issue,

4. Cthulhu:
  • Shared icon cache management. → Clear shared icon cache.
  • HOME Menu icon cache management. → Clear HOME Menu icon cache.
If you wish to uninstall that title,

5. FBI → Titles → Config -or- 0004000000000000 → Delete Title And Ticket.

You might be better off using the homebrew app, RTChanger. Maybe ctr-no-timeoffset?

Okay. So I'm supossed to put the CTRTransfer(TypeD9).gm9 on gm9's in folder, then run the script by launching gm9 and pressing the home menu and then use the option (A) - Quick, and also select Fix movable.sed KeyY?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Man, this is confusing

You put the script in the sdmc:/gm9/scripts subfolder, press (HOME) button to access scripts... , run the script to check the encryption key, and then use its other feature, Rebuild 3DS Database (you have three letter options), etc.

Edit -
Fix movable.sed KeyY goes first; Rebuild 3DS Database goes next.
