@Blackmonster I went through and did the entire game, from start to finish on Maddening doing the Black Eagles. The only issues I had were related to save editing with the exception of two one-off crashes that occurred during month transitions, one between month 6 and month 7 whilst the other was post-timeskip.

In terms of difference in difficulty to Hard, it's not as prominent early on but it definitely ramps up and has it's glorious, good old Fire Emblem "prepare thy anus" moments where you get your plans absolutely ruined - but it's not as bad in this game since you can just Divine Pulse if you really want to.

I plan to do a Blue Lions run on Infernal now from start to finish and I can only imagine what the hell it'll throw at me.

it works 100%, though it might still differ from the official release, as I think they will tweak some stuffs here and there, hence the delay to release it rather than be included in the game right off the bat.
From my point of view, the primary source of difficulty comes from
- the enemy level (often 6-7 levels above mine in the beginning), thus giving you the incentive to play as many optional battles as possible to grind your levels up;
- archer's poison stab. Enemy archers are now a huge problem that I always seek to take care of first.
- Same-turn reinforcement. This thing definitely forces you to use divine pulse from time to time.
- The enemies also got a huge bump in their stats. I notice that enemy named-AIs often have similar or even higher stats than my own units of the same class. For example in the mock battle of Eagle vs Lion, enemy Hubert was 20 points ahead of my own mage.
- The movable boss thing is a joke. Was looking forward to this but so far only the death knight moved and the other bosses still just stupidly wait idly for their death.

Unfortunately I don't think Infernal is playable in its current state. I read that all maps either have only lv 99 units or no enemy units at all (thus preventing you from even completing it).

That's an unfortunate shame, I remember reading that it was an issue prior and even responding to it, but I didn't imagine it was quite as severe as it seems. I might just go through the data and see if it's just a matter of the mode in the current game being the groundwork and nothing else. Also yea, the archers having Poison Strike were the literal bane of my existence for like 90% of post-timeskip till I got a decent stab-and-run character built up.

it will NOT** differ from the official release..--(this is Official-Release) lol ... only way it would Change Any at all . they would have to Do another Update and or DLC-Patch**-(that's only way)..
what's included in as of now, is Everything it Can Offer for them... Plus Don't Forget.. this isn't Made Completely By Nintendo like old Days- they was.. So they also now have to rely and work with the Co-Company in Terms of DLC and also Patches and updates for it..

This is An Offline Game By Default , not Online -( like a Multiplayer Client-Server -Online only Game)-(means it needs and have to play online -
whilst this game is and can be Completely offline.. otherwise u couldn't be using Editing and cheats codes like we do..)

I see, I was hoping the official release could still tweak few more stuffs, but guess I will have to be happy with what we currently have. Hope they will instead complete the infernal difficulty then and not leave it in its current state.

This a *Off-line** Game meaning the ONLY** way for it to Change* they would Have Too** do a *Soft/Hard-Updates*-(Which Consists of Either- DLC , Patch , and or just Normal Update**) -- NO other way***..

Maddening as it is seems to be more or less complete, I don't see what they would necessarily change from it between now and the 'official' DLC for it and Infernal. As for Infernal, I'm about 90% sure what is in the game for it is just the groundwork / framework or whatever you wish to call it.

On the point about Maddening and Infernal having changes in general, pretty sure it's simple enough to do if they push an update (which they intend to do in order to actually add the difficulty modes the way they meant to) and as for when, I imagine it'll be within a month or two - likely alongside the second wave or in the second wave.

There's a tool(s) being made at https://feuniverse.us/t/fe16-three-houses-tools/5986 which can be used to edit some of the stuff you've talked about, I'd say keep an eye on it.

here is a little updated list if characters. might include spoilers. fixed classes.

Includes:
  • Correct Rhea (younger version is a male for some reason. so couldn't reclass into saint class. this one is the correct rhea with her class as well)
  • Kronya (with her weapon and preffered class)
  • Solon (with correct class)
  • Thales (with own weapon and class)
  • Death Knight (for some reason cant reclaass into his death knight* class)
  • Anna (for some reason is classified as a male as well.)
  • Nemesis (with correct class and weapon)
  • removed the lords for causing problems

They do not have the correct stat lines yet and will be relatively weak if you are farther on.
Thank you so much! However I noticed something when injecting with an empty character slot.

1, I injected Jeralt to an empty slot, and he is always invisible in the map.
2, Also, I injected sothis to another empty slot, she works fine in battle, but from time to time (usually one week after a battle), she will disappear from the roster. After she disappeared, if I open the save file in my pc, her inventory slot will have nothing in the save editor.

Do you encounter these issues yourself? I want to know if it is a unique issue. Thanks in advance.

Adding more details to it.
1, I find that Sothis will disappear after ending a battle day. But Jeralt won't disappear.
2, After Sothis disappear, if I open the save file in save editor, it seems that Sothis's codes are all set to 0. She is now level 1, all her flags are unticked. Her inventory is empty.
3, I tried editing an existing character slot into Sothis (to isolate the problem from empty save slot), the issue still exists.

I need some info on adding & editing roaster in save editor. Im on BE route & planning to side with edelgard later on. Can i directly edit character that i cannot recruit in this route to join my party or should i add different file in the roaster list? If i directly edit them to join me, will the AI (these characters) that i fight later on will have the same stat, abilities like the one i directly edited?

okay Guys Get Ready!.. Finally!! after so long of searching through over 50+GB's of Data and such..
finally got the Entry-Point** For Proper Convoy-Inventory Code(s)**..
Just Tested Some of them , and Result(s) are Good so Far, Managed to Change
My First Sword-(From Convoy and it remained Unlimited as well)-to Anything i Wanted.-(which i picked Killer-Edge* for shits and giggles* lol )..

So your not waiting for any Longer for them, here's Little Sample until i get rest *Tallied up* .. while your waiting on the others..:
Below With-in** the *.zip-Archive* i put Little Sample there.
So u Can try Code(s) yourself to Modify your Weapon(s) now in your Convoy*, Alongside being Unlimited

But Guys if someone don't mind help with The Item Table List(s) ..
just write them down and paste them over once u have Item ID and number as shown beside it....

(Claude/m!Byleth S support spoiler videos, don't click if you want to avoid spoilers!)

It's not much, but until we have a proper gay 3H romhack... it's still something. Still a way to gay marry your faves, albeit not perfect.

what i initially did:
- saved before the final choice of who to S support. (I was playing as male Byleth)
- used the save editor to export my male byleth, then imported a female Byleth from another save right on top of male Byleth, overwriting him
- imported back my original male byleth, so now i had 2 byleths in my roster, one male and one female
- the game now seemed to recognize female Byleth as the "main" Byleth. She was the one i could move around the monastery with as well as the one who appeared on the battlefield and in cutscenes. so when asked to pick an S support option, i could pick the ones available to her, including Claude.
- i picked Claude, saved, won the final battle, saved after it was over

At this point, my original intention was to use that after-battle save to save edit male Byleth back into being the "main" byleth to see what happened if i did...

...Except I didn't. Apparently it wasn't even necessary.
For some reason, right after the final battle, the game automatically started the Claude S support cutscene with male Byleth, even though the "main" Byleth was still female Byleth. And this is the result.

If anyone else wants to try this with another same-sex pairing, i'd like to know if the same also happens to their Byleth!

(This is far from perfect though. Right after the Claude/m!Byleth blank text slide in the final credits, another slide with m!Byleth/Dorothea appeared, this one with text saying they got married. I think this is the game choosing a random spouse for the 2nd Byleth)

EDIT: I just tried to do what I was originally planning: in the after-battle save, i removed the additional Byleth (female byleth, who has turned into another male byleth for some reason) and when i loaded the save, everything was the same except the additional m!Byleth/Dorothea slide in the credits was gone! So that's all you need to do to avoid it.

EDIT2: after testing with some more charas, i've decided to rewrite this post so it's easier to understand the steps. In this example, you're playing as male Byleth.

STEPS
1) save before the final choice of who to S-support, then open that save in the save editor
2) export your male byleth's .character file
3) open it in HxD, go to 0x24 and change that byte from 00 (male byleth) to 01 (female byleth).
4) import it back into your save, overwriting male Byleth. now you have female Byleth
5) open the game and choose who you want to gay marry, then save again.
6) in the save editor, import your male Byleth back into the new save, overwriting female Byleth

you can now continue playing normally and at the end you'll gay marry your fave!
