AI: The Somnium Files faces mild delay to this September

aisom.jpg

Last March, we were treated to the announcement that Spike Chunsoft would be localizing Kotaro Uchikoshi's, of Zero Escape fame, new game, AI: The Somnium Files. The story-based game was set for a simultaneous worldwide release on July 25, though it will no longer be making that date, as Spike Chunsoft will be delaying it by a few months. According to the development team, this is to ensure that the game meets expectations. AI: The Somnium Files will now launch for Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 on September 17th.

We deeply apologize for the change, but we would like to assure the community that it was necessary to ensure the best product possible. We know our fans are eagerly anticipating this title, and we will continue to strive to meet your expectations.

I fear Sony's influence too. I've stayed out of taking a stance on their policies but Uchikoshi is an auteur and goddamn if they're going to mess with his game.
