I hope this game is more fun than the previous two games. This doesn't seem like a series that is about "having fun" by doing "video game" things. Its way too hyper realistic for the reason of trying to tell a captivating, convincing, compelling (take your pick) story that seems a bit more like "If ace attorney had more action." Yakuza series is just as involved in the story telling, but there is still fun to be had with the kind of entertainment that you can have. Majima has a side of them that makes me laugh and how somethings happen in there are fun to watch and laugh at. I can't say the same for Shenmue.
All I ask is they least can have more control over time if they have to have events timed sensitive. If they have to have money making part of the story, keep it simple. Please keep the pacing good (fork lift job comes to mind... FIVE DAYS!?) Or least more ways to entertain the player if they want a break from the story. I know they have mini games and such and the Sega arcade games is always my memorable part of the game, but it does not compare to the amount of things you can do in Yakuza.
Honestly I just want the game to be fun and entertaining. As long as it gives me reasons to keep playing, that's good. But the only reason I find to think about playing one of the games, is for the story. I understand what kind of game it is. It has an interesting world with NPCs that has more development than RPG games, you explore places, look at stuff and interact with anything you can see. Best I can describe the game is "Stuff you you do in real life" or a virtual window into Japan's culture. All I can remember from years ago is talking to people, looking for clues, taking notes, playing a abundance of quick time events and fighting a bunch of people in huge numbers. I'm not saying the game is bad, but it's very boring to me.
