That all depends on how profitable it is. I don't know the answer to that.
I mean even working on the outdated metric of 250,000 SX users, assuming even a one half a percent conversion rate, they're looking at $25k per month - and that's low-balling it.

Not every SX OS user has Stargate. Only a very small portion of them has it. I'd say 5,000 would be generous.

My math on .5% is 1250 users based on the 250,000 number, which is very low-ball.
True. But even then what if they don't like the service being down half the time?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

That 25k might be a one time payment as the majority of those users will most likely cancel.

tbh, I think if you're willing to pay for the convenience of a curated CDN/Nut Server, you're probably a repeat customer.

True. But like I said. Why pay for something that is down half the time? Or when it is up doesn't work properly.

Team Gateway can say whatever they want. They have a long record of lying. Proof is in the releases. Either release a non-Sept 7.X CFW or shut up.

Why so salty?

Of course they can't update, they can't delete sept's splashscreen :creep:
They have to wait for someone else to release an open-source and no watermark solution :creep:

Or not, who made you god?

Just to keep y'all updated, there's no "silently dropping support."

That post on their forums in no way "confirms" that there are "no roadblocks." It certainly appears that there are "roadblocks," considering how long the 7.0.0 firmware has been out. Like I said in the other thread that got locked, people need to stop citing Team-Xecuter and their forum moderators as credible (and unbiased) sources of information. They are trying to promote and sell a product, and they are not going to say things that may discourage people from buying said "product." The likely reason for the delay has been stated on here numerous times (the TSEC issue). Personally, I don't think that they have the skill set to find the bugs that the Atmosphere people found to deal with that issue, but maybe I'll be wrong on that. That leaves them with the options of displaying the Atmosphere splash screen, which I don't think they are willing to do. The other option is to contact SciresM, and beg and plead with him to remove that screen (good luck with that).

If the show up with 7.0.1 support and the ipatched Switches hacks... once again they will be ahead of the competition for real xD

btw:

They better hurry up, Mario Aces, Captain Toad and Smash all require 7.0.1 now to work....

but maybe I'll be wrong on that.

How can you start your post certain they are roadblocks and then bury that maybe you're wrong in the middle of the post?

They could be lying of course, but only time will tell. Think how you would feel if literally every time you spoke then someone just started shouting at you saying you were lying?

How is someone saying something on a website confirming anything

Well either they are lying or they are just trying to get the salty trolls to STFU, whether TX are lying or not it would be better for all of us if they did. Thread derailing because they have a meltdown that TX exists is getting kinda boring.

because I think it is incredibly stupid to pay for piracy, in fact it kind of goes against what piracy is all about.

I guess you haven't been around long, there have been piracy (AKA backup) products since the 1980's. SX OS has functionality that free solutions don't have, so if you care enough about those features and have money then buying it is not a stupid decision at all.

hey man i am waiting for your os and it needs to be 7.0.1 compatible eh.. as its so easy to make that there should not be roadblocks... if any other dev of any other os tells you something then you will not think they are credible ? -.-
