Let me put it clear

1. I do NOT USE EMUNAND, I only created one so I can update my sysnand to 7.0 xDD that way i can still play backups.
2. I created the EMUNAND when I was on 6.2 because I knew SXOS works on 6.2. I didn't format my SD card, but made a backup of files before creating the Hidden Emunand because that process will delete EVERYTHING on your SD Card.
3. I always used Stealth Mode because I wasn't using EmuNAND at first so it only makes sense to use it while on CFW on SysNand.

If you want to be safe, make sure you don't install ANY NSP on your console, make use of THIS to update your games: https://github.com/julesontheroad/NSC_BUILDER/releases, have your Stealth Mode ON at all times, DO NOT UPDATE GAMES on OFW or CFW EVER, Always always make sure you are on OFW before going ONLINE, DO NOT MODIFY online game savegames.
Ahh thanks for making it much clear. Highly Appreciate it.

Hello mates! I have a question for you. I transferred my switch profile (I played online) from my brother's switch patched with my switch unpatched (after I created emunand). Now I am using my switch with emunand hidden partition and I go online only with sysnand. But I have a question. If I will get ban, my brother will get ban too? Because my profile wasn't in my switch unpatched. Is it safe nintendo switch online family group? I wanna use it with my brother but there is the problem again "if I will get ban, my brother will get ban too"?

No, your brother will not get banned. Your profile is linked to NNID for which Nintendo has to ban separately. Nintendo bans the console certificate as soon as they see you running and playing pirated shit and that leads to your console (which i see in your unpatched switch getting banned).
But just to be on the safe side, they can ban your NNID and you lose all that progress so just let your brother play on the unpatched switch (assuming you have Sysnand restored to a clean state and has not been touched with CFW like homebrew in Album).

Has anyone confirmed being banned from only going online in OFW and never in CFW? Also with nsps installed?

Most people seemed to be getting banned from going online whilst in CFW.

That is not what the data suggests at all. If that was the case, people would be banned for simply booting up CFW which rarely, if ever, occurs. In other words, if people were only getting banned for booting CFW online, then it would imply its the CFW at fault rather than what they were doing in CFW (and the data suggests its the actions, not the CFW, that lead to the ban). Bannable actions include piracy (.NSP & .XCI), homebrew usage (Retroarch seems to be the most common), and LayeredFS (but this was the first banwave where it wasn't exactly clear what caused these bans since people use LayeredFS now without worry).

I have a question that has been bugging me for a while now. Now that the overclocking tool has been released, what would technically happen if I were to boot CFW, without playing any backed up games before, launch the sys-clk, overclock the Switch, and launch Fortnite? Would it cause some mismatch and grant a ban?

Don't think there is any current telemetry that measures the clock speed so you would be fine but I suppose they can add that in a future system update.

I just wanted to know how long it usually takes until you get banned on a hacked switch when going online without CFW.

Yes.

In all seriousness, we don't know. Some people have been banned in minutes while others took months. There is also no correlation between the time it takes someone to get banned and the actions they did before they got banned. Its just safer and easier to assume going online with a hacked console will eventually lead to a ban.

This also makes for a good question to add to the F.A.Q. so I have added it there.

Maybe add this combo too? "No ban reports with offline emunand online sysnand on last fw as today) "

it seem you are Guru here)
I'm completely new in NIn switch community, so I have several questions if you don't mind about online/offline stuff.
Just bought Switch with already installed SX OS (ARCM mode) and USB dongle.
As far As I can see on SX OS if I go to album, on the right top corner(there SX os emblem IS)there is no information "EmuNand", so that means I'm using CFW, right?(6.2 version btw).

How can I get information, what is my OFW firmware is?
If I do factory reset, to which version of OFW it will roll back?

What's the best option to clean up OFC(sysNAND) for being able to use online+make clean backup of switch and make EMuNand.

Thanks)

So if I have a switch...

- used it for months before SX existed, played retail games, accessed eshop, etc.
- SX came out, hacked switch, but DID NOT make NAND backup.
- Took the switch online briefly to download updates.
- Airplane mode, hasn't been online since.
- But has been using SX OS, NSPs, XCI, custom XCI, etc, etc. since then.

Is there any way to get the switch in a state that would minimize the risk of a ban, compared to doing nothing. I know there is a risk, but since it is only being used offline anyways not much would be lost if banned.

Lets say I knew the date the last time the switch was online or a day close to it. Could I only clear the logs up to that point? Reading threads on here it seems like the logs are an issue with bans.

You already took the hacked console online. Consider yourself flagged and a ban imminent. At this point, all you can do is just wait. Not much point in keeping the console offline either because Nintendo already knows what you have done to the console.

I'm not 100% sure what they did, but from what they told me it seems like they installed sx os, loaded an xci and the rebooted into sysnand. Then turned on wifi to download updates for thkse xci games. That was the first few days of sx os. Switch hasnt been online since. Reading back I didnt see any examples of people getting banned for doing just this.

These were the first people to get banned after the LayeredFS banwave. There are several of them in the spreadsheet. I used to keep a tally of them but there was too many so I just stopped keeping track altogether.
