is it possible to make a version where we can use flipnote studio 3ds in the future maybe? my ds mode is bricked and i was and idiot and uninstalled cfw and didnt know what else to do
To get cfw installed, you need arbitrary code execution on the ARM9 (security-) CPU.

Normal games run on the ARM11 (main-) CPU in userland. If it was possible to exploit Flipnote Studio 3DS version, you would gain the possibility to start the Homebrew Launcher. That would not help you. Another entry point of this kind exists: You can have this right now with Steelminer.
No matter how you gain access to the Homebrew Launcher, Frogminer (and Seedminer) must go through the DS-mode. There are no public pure software exploits at the moment that allow ARM9 execution without the DS-mode on a firmware ≥ 11.4.

The only remaining possibilities are
  • ntrboot with a compatible flashcart.
  • hardmod (Not recommended unless you are really good at soldering!)

Sorry for the negative response. I’d really like to give you better news. The situation sucks.

It's worthwhile to track down a flashcart imo, they're pretty handy and fairly cheap if you know where to look. From what I can tell, this seems to be the best option? I installed frogminer without much issue so I'm not 100% sure how well this cart works. Just, be wary is all I'm saying. Lots of knockoffs exist and the last thing you want is a flashcard that stops working suddenly.

Hey, your the guy that made Frogminer app. Yes, it does blink off. I do have boot.firm on my SD card's root. I ran CRC32 hash, and it is the same to most recent version.

Name: boot.firm
Size: 186368 bytes (0 MB)
CRC-32: 69CC31AF

Go and grab the 9.1 out there and try it anyways. Its not going to hurt you to try it.

that is correct yes.

That is the one I originally place to the root. CRC32 match.

(update)

I replace the file regardless, but it still does not work properly. What do I do now?

Man, I feel like I just should of have bought a flashcard instead. And use Godmode 9
instead. It still does not power on.

Try a different SD, freshly formatted with FAT32, 32KB cluster size and only put on the boot.firm file.

If everything else fails, buying a flashcart is still a good idea as ntrboot can fix even the worst software problems.

But how can I use a flashcart, if 3DS will not power on?

Will try different SD card now.

It worked now, I was using a Samsung Evo 64GB, maybe that is why?

(update)

Can I use my other SD Card now?

In short: It does turn on with ntrboot flashcart and magnet even if the NAND-chip is erased (look at the link I gave you, TurdPooCharger tried it).

Use the working SD card for now. Put all files for the finalizing setup page on it and finish the installation, so it will turn of even without SD. Then you can take care of the 64GB card.

So basically, I also copy all the files from the other SD Card and the files from finalizing setup. Do you think my 64GB card does not have 32KB cluster size?

I don't know what is with the 64GB card. Please finish the installation with the working card for now. Just copy the files on and proceed. When the installation is done:
  • Backup all your files (including the SD:/Nintendo 3DS folder) from the 64GB Samsung EVO on your computer.
  • Format the SD with Guiformat to FAT32, 32KB cluster size.
  • Check the card with h2testw. This takes time, but it will show you if the card is okay.
    • If you get any errors, replace the 64GB card (and repeat the test with the next card you get).
    • If you get no errors, delete the test files and copy everything on the card again.
  • Copy your files back on the tested card and see if it is usable in the 3DS system

Okay. It work now with the 64GB card, but the cias I installed do not appear. I guess I have to install them again?

(edit)
Yes. You need to install them again. License is SD Card sensitive.

When installing backup .cias should I have double the size of the biggest game I wish to install when installing many
OR double the size of the combined size of all games? In order words, does FBI delete .cias right after installing them?

Thanks. I know this exactly related to Frogminer, but I guess it can help people too. :)

Can I use the Frogminer method in a 3DS with the latest version (11.9.0-42U)?
If possible, do I have to do something different?
